"We stayed at the James Buchanan Hotel during a trip to whitetail for skiing and the hotel was my favorite part of the experience. It was cozy, clean, and they even upgraded our room. It was so much fun to go to the pub in the hotel. The manager of the pub was so attentive and polite and everyone made sure we had a great stay. I can’t say enough nice good things about this place and I hope we will go back someday soon!"

"The term "hotel" is a little misleading as it is more like an inn where there is no hotel staff onsite. An innkeeper greeted us to check us in and give us a tour of the property. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also visited the onsite restaurant, which was lovely. The food was excellent! Unfortunately, there were no real options for breakfast in town and no shopping or entertainment. If you stay here, be prepared for a quiet night in."

Cozy Getaway < 1 Mi to Cowans Gap State Park!

"The cabin was cute. Nicely decorated. The large deck was a very relaxing hang out spot. The cabin could have used a little extra tender loving care as far as the cleaning goes. The kitchen wasn’t stock very well. If you plan on cooking make sure to take more cooking essentials such as pots and pans, sheet pans, mixing bowls, baking dishes, dish towels, paper towels, plastic wrap, foil etc…The grill was left very dirty and had a broken gas tank, so we didn’t get use it. Both of the outside...

"Giving this 10/10!! Booked as getaway with my husband and I loved it from the moment we arrived. It's nice and cozy, the rocking chairs on the porch makes it even better. Just sitting out there in quiet and listening to mother nature was so relaxing. It pretty much had everything you need and so beautiful inside. The bed was very comfy and it's spacious in the loft area. Very secluded"
