Beautiful home away from home
This house was just as pretty in person as it is in the photos. The area is quiet and there are lovely views. We enjoyed the sunsets from the front porch. I will definitely book this home again.

Great house for getaway weekend
House was great! Open concept which was nice to visit with everyone. Kitchen has some stocked food and spices which was great for first day arrival. I love concrete floors however it makes you hear everything in the house early or late. Would stay again when in the area.

Had a wonderful visit. The place is amazing. Well appointed. Everything you could possibly need and very comfortable. Great place to gather, great place to stargaze. Great place to see the sunrise and the sunset. Hope to stay here again.

Great stay at the Starry Nights House
House was perfect for a family getaway and was centrally located for excursions to the surrounding sites and cities. House was just as depicted in the photos with lots of open space and bedrooms. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Especially enjoyed the back patio with lots of birds to enjoy. The hosts were very responsive and provided lots of brochures and literature about the nearby attractions, stores and restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit to the Starry Nights house.

Outstanding location if you want to be located within driving distance to Marfa, Big Bend, and many other sites, this is the place to be. My family has such a great time that they are still talking about the experience. The owner and their staff were so responsive to any questions I had and made the experience fantastic and memorable. Highly recommended!!!!

Lovely stay in West Texas
My family had a wonderful time visiting Fort Davis and Big Bend while staying here. The house is well built and furnished well to accommodate our large family. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the firepit and the beautiful night views of the stars. Highly recommended!

Fort Davis Escape
Mark’s property was just perfect for our family trip to Fort Davis. Beautiful view of the mountains and a back porch perfect for stargazing. Close drive to hiking, the McDonald Observatory, as well as shops, restaurants and the local grocery store. Will look for this property again on our next trip to Fort Davis!

Quiet Fort Davis Property with Great Views
My husband, two sons, and I have been going to the McDonald Observatory and Fort Davis for 16 or so years and have stayed in lots of places in Fort Davis. Your house was, by far, our favorite. Glad we could share that experience with our friends who had never been to the area.

After a little glitch, entirely my fault, the condition of the property was excellent. I would have preferred a different location due to the condition of the road. We had no issues with the home and had a great time in Ft. Davis and the surrounding are.

This is a great property for families. 2 acres on a rural road and a couple of quiet porches to enjoy the gorheous open sky. Fort Davis is a small town so everything is just a few minutes' drive. Fully stocked and comfortable, with artistic touches throughout the home that make it feel warm and inviting. Excellent showers and kitchen appliappliances. Wi'fi and a TV for those that don't want to completely disconnect. All in all, a very comfy stay!

Small West Texas town in a beautiful home!
The home was very clean! Loved the space to spread out within the home. Also the porches and patio were great to start and end the day admiring the sunrises and sunsets. Kitchen was very easy to work in and around everyone. Best of all the location was so convenient to all the Davis Mountain area.(Ft Davis Historic Site, Davis Mt. State park, McDonald Observatory, Marfa and Alpine) Had awesome cell phone coverage. Being close to Lowe's Grocery store was a bonus. Host was the best!!!!!!!

Star party headquarters
If your going to Fort Davis, Texas you probably are going for the observatory. Mark’s property was super convenient for this. We enjoyed the late night Star party and the night drive back was easy. House is clean and furnished nicely. I’m glad I had my sleep mask as I like dark room; just note the Sun does come in through the shades. Their is a tasty store / Deli super close that we enjoyed. Great back patio area with fire pit was enjoyable . Very quite area . We always prefer private properties over hotels and this lively home did not disappoint.

We had such a wonderful experience staying here. This listing has absolutely everything you need for a weekend stay. From pantry items to shampoo and conditioner. The views were spectacular and the house was one of the cleanest houses I have ever stepped foot in. One hundred percent will be booking again!

Fort Davis house
This house was a nice place to stay as we explored the fort and McDonald's observatory. There was a nice large kitchen and a comfortable living area with plenty of space for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and there was a back porch with a picnic table that we used. There was a minor hiccup, but the owners made everything right. They were very easy to work with and wanted our stay to be a memorable one. All of us enjoyed our stay.
