The veiw was spectacular. Definitely worth the money just for that. The kitchen was a little lacking. There was very little supplies, but was still usable.
VRBO showcased the home and land accurately. The view was outstanding and home area was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the deck with patio and fire pit overlooking the ocean bluff. The kitchenette was perfect for us since we went to our favorite restaurants in the area. Our 2 dogs loved the grassy area in front of home. Perfect rusty retreat!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this surfside cottage! We were right at home with the tiny-house footprint. It was clean and tidy, and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed the sunsets and punding surf next to the fire pit, and left feeling fully recharged. We'll save this property as a favorite and definitely return.
The location of this place is awesome! Took my teenage Son and he loved it. Very private and cozy. The owner was very available when I had a question. Perfect spot for 2. And my dog loved it too.
Small cottage tucked away in the redwoods overlooking a small cove. Beautiful ocean views from the deck. Small kitchen, full sized fridge and comfortable living room. There was a larger house next to the cottage, but no one appeared to be there, so it was very private. I had some difficulties checking in and the owner was quick to respond. A very beautiful stay.
We were looking for a quiet spot on the ocean. The cabin was cozy. The view, amazing. Sitting on the couch or on either the deck or the patio. weather was great, you could see forever. Awesome at sunset. the crashing waves mesmerizing. You can hear the calming rhythm of the sea when you go to sleep
We enjoyed our stay. The view was incredible. Since we can't get out on the beach any more do to age, it was wonderful to be able to see and hear the ocean. The house was very basic. However, the bed was very comfortable. There was not much in the way of decor. Since I use a walker, having the ramp was very helpful. Some areas were difficult to move around with the walker. Overall it was good visit.
This beautiful little property is right on the ocean and surrounded by beautiful forest. It was clean, homey, and well-stocked with kitchen supplies (not a full kitchen but enough to heat up lunch or make a little breakfast). The view of the ocean is unmatched. There is only one home next door but no one seemed to be home. The house is about 5 mins from downtown Fort Bragg and 10mins from downtown Mendocino. I wouldn’t bring small children here because there is a steep cliff at the edge of the property. We will definitely be back!!
If you are looking for one of the best views on the Mendocino coast, while seated on your own deck, surrounded by 3 acres of peace and quiet, look no further. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Simple, clean, nothing fancy but very comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics (2 burner cooktop - no stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave) and nice touches such as three different kinds of coffee makers & coffee beans/grinder. You can cook basic meals and don't forget, fabulous restaurants/cafes are in Ft. Bragg, Noyo Harbor and Mendocino! I spent 3 nights and I'll be back!
We enjoyed relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine, listening to the waves and watching the birds. It was super peaceful. The bed was cozy. Recently remodeled. Very cute. We used the toaster oven. It worked great. There were two options for coffee, which was provided, including a grinder but we just drove into town for coffee. We have an EV and charged at City Hall for $5 total for 4 hours while we walked around the cute town of Fort Bragg. Great weekend. Needs a wine bottle opener. :-)
This was a perfect weekend getaway! The photo of the cove & ocean is what sold us on this place. It was so very quiet & peaceful with the ocean waves as our soundtrack. The deck was a perfect spot for coffee in the morning & wine in the evening. I didn’t read all the previous reviews so was surprised by the house next door, but it was unoccupied so it wasn’t a bother. The kitchen is minimal but we were prepared for this. The bed is a true double so it would not work for us for more than 2 nights. I feel that the lighting could be better, it was cloudy while we were there & rather dark in the house, especially the kitchen. Overall a sweet little spot!
We spent our honeymoon there. We wanted something quiet and low key. This little place delivered. It is secluded. There are neighbors but we hardly seen anyone. The kitchen is just the basics, but enough if you’re planning on keeping it simple. Everything was clean and in working order.
What the cottage lacks in amenities it makes up for with the view! The fire pit on the cliff with a glass of wine (and a beer for my husband) were the best sunsets I’ve had in Fort Bragg.
The owner is responsive. He answered all my questions promptly. I will definitely book again if my husband and I can get away without dogs and children. It is definitely an adult retreat.
Beautiful ocean view. Love the deck and patio with the fire pit. Tiny kitchen limited food options. TV remote did not work. We look forward to returning.
Small 1 BR semi-rustic bungalow. Had everything we needed. Dirt/gravel road to property is very long, narrow and winding. Not bad in the day time. Very private and just fabulous for sitting on the deck watching the waves crash or star gazing at night! Hidden gem.
Raul’s midcentury guesthouse is absolutely to die for! we stayed a single night, but look forward to coming back very soon for a longer stay! The house is quaint and decked out in ‘Mad Men-esque’ furnishings. The location and view is unparalleled.
This place is clean and so comfortable! The breakers are aqua and mesmerizing. I cant remember when I have felt this relaxed and stress free! Everything we need is there. We will definitely come back and spend more days next time!
