"The villa is beautifully renovated and the small pool is perfect for kids. The scenery around is striking: arid mountains, marble quarries, olive groves, and vineyards. Not close to the sea but it's sort of equidistant (20-30 min) to different locations (S. Vito lo Capo, Scopello, Erice, Segesta) so we went different places each day. "We just had an amazing 5 days at Villa Fontana. The history of the property is one of the things that make it so special. Your mind wanders to the time when it was the the only structure on the hillside. The location is great for exploring the region. Short trips to Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Egadi Islands and Trapani. "We enjoyed our stay in this spacious house and especially liked the garden seating area in the morning and the upstairs balcony for sunset views in the evening. The hosts were very helpful and kind and even lent us their coffee machine. It was great just for relaxing but there are places to see nearby and we were very impressed with Mozia island and the Salt pans. The cycle track outside meant you could walk or cycle in safety.
