"We would recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay near Barbizon. The location was perfect for us, as it is an easy walk to the local shops/ bakery, and accessible to the main climbing areas (though some may find it a little noisy on the weekend evenings as it is on the main street). "The purpose of our visit was to attend the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau is an easy run from Poligny and definitely a place worth exploring. Beautiful countryside and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Gite was comfortable and we enjoyed meals outside in the courtyard under the beautiful ash tree. Being a converted stone farm building the ground floor lacked natural daylight but the outside space more than compensated. Jacques,s English was quite good which was just...
