"Lovely little cottage in a peaceful location in Métabief area. Host was very communicative leading up to our arrival and made us feel welcome. Cleaning was arranged prior to arrival and they kindly gave us access to everything at the property. Great base for visiting Jura region and lakes north of Lake Geneva. Lake Neuchâtel is about an hour away and we visited Chamonix which was about 2 1/2 hours away."

"We had an amazing time in Doucier. It's a wonderfully tranquil area, perfect for a peaceful and rejuvenating vacation. The property was exactly as described; upon our arrival, everything was clean and just like in the pictures. The porch is a real plus, especially during the summer! On a less positive note, the beds are not the most comfortable, and if you plan on cooking, bring your kitchen utensils as there is only the bare minimum provided, which was a bit challenging for us as we love to...

"DON’T BOOK!!! The host cancelled the stay 2 hours before checkin after I had already landed in Vegas on the busiest weekend with all other hotels booked. I had to book another hotel & pay nearly quadruple what I would normally have paid. And then they refused to answer to refund the stay for days. $1300+."

"Very nice location, close to a beautiful lake and there are some great walks in the area. The chalet is very well equipped, warm, comfortable, quiet and the owner is flexible and very welcoming."

"Le chalet est situé en bord de route et bruyant, difficile de profiter de la terrasse. Le logement est sale, nous avons dû relaver toute la vaisselle, sans parler de l’état des placards à couverts où nous avons pu retrouver des cures dents usagés… Dans la salle de douche il restait le gant de toilette des précédents locataires, le tapis de douche sale, dans le bac à linge. Le ballon d’eau chaude, fixé sur deux tasseaux fissurés sur le point de tomber. A notre arrivée le lit bébé cassé…...

"Logement très bien situé, proche des commerces et des diverses activités. Nous sommes allés sur différents sites pour les raquettes et aux Rousses (fort et ski). "The chalet was very comfortable for our stay for XC skiing. It provides easy access to several different areas for skiing and snow shoeing. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Christelle and François were friendly and responsive hosts. Having a garage is unusual for a short-term rental and was much appreciated during the first snowy days of our stay. We did not have children with us but it would be a terrific place to go with kids. Sledding right outside the door is first...

"We really enjoyed our stay in Lamoura. The property is beautifully decorated and well appointed and there was a lot to do in the area, including running, cycling and swimming. The large garage was invaluable on rainy days for entertaining the kids and drying washing. My only gripe was the lack of transparency about linen hire, cleaning charges and the need for a 500 euro deposit, neither of which were mentioned in the listing, meaning I didn't bring a cheque book and had to sort it all out...
