Welcome to the "Spirit of Folly", a vacation rental that embodies the long history of the Folly Beach community. This tri-plex, 2 short blocks (100 yards) to the beach and 5 blocks from restaurants, bars, and shopping, was built in the mid 20th century and renovated in 2022. The two-bedroom one bath unit has two luxurious king beds and an expansive backyard with classic old oaks providing shade. For a more spacious shower (small shower inside) use the enclosed outdoor shower behind unit C and shared by both units. Walk out the back yard for direct access to the City Park, with a playground, tennis & basketball courts, and a dog park. The unit boasts a full kitchen and multiple off-street parking spots (front and back). Please note you will need to navigate two steps down to access the property. Not enough room? Rent Unit C to double the size. Owners live upstairs.

Everything was great! Short and easy walk to the beach! Very clean property with super helpful and friendly hosts. We brought our dog, and there was a dog park right across the street in the back we often visited. The main strip of restaurants and shops along with the pier access is not too far of a walk, which is really nice because finding parking on the island can be quite difficult at times. All around 5 stars for everything!

The property was perfect for our family and dogs. The walk to the beach was short and the dog park was conveniently located just behind the property. The people at folly were friendly as usual. The restaurants were amazing! Will definitely consider rebooking in the future.

Pleasantly surprised with our accommodations, very clean, had everything we needed. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed, although we didn’t cook. Property was ok. Great location and easy to get in. Not very clean, especially the bathroom. We didn’t even use the shower because there was black dirt all over the bottom so we just used the outdoor shower.

Location was awesome and very close to the beach! Owner was very responsive and attentive, and our pup was welcome with us which was perfect. The only thing I did not like is how small the bathroom was. There is almost no counter space and the mirror is hanging on the wall next to the counter, not above it - this May not be an issue for some however we were in town for a wedding so it made getting ready very difficult. Otherwise everything else was great!

Perfect for a beach stay!
We had a fantastic time. The kitchen is great, very well appointed with lots of thoughtful extras that you don’t get at the corporately run places. We had everything we needed to be able to cook a few meals. FYI, the bed in the front bedroom is softer, but I slept great on the firmer one, and I’m usually the picky soft bed lover. The living room is also comfy, though we barely used it since we were on the go. There’s a very cute little sitting area out back if you come at the right time of year (we just enjoyed the laundry line for wet swimsuits!). The only downside to the property is the bathroom. It is quite small and sometimes got a little smelly. It would be tough to have lots of folks trying to get ready in there (though there are mirrors in each bedroom). But for a beach trip, it was perfect— everything we needed and just a short walk to the beach!

Meg was a lovely person. She responded to all our questions very quickly! She and her husband went out of their way to ask about massage places for me. The place was perfect for our family! The indoor shower is small, but good enough (She mentions the small shower in the listing.) The outdoor shower is helpful when you have a daughter that likes to take long showers. Lol. Meg has the house stock SO well! She has the kitchen just about completely stocked!! I was very impressed, I always take things that I definitely want just to be sure. I didn’t need to use them at all. There were plenty of towels, iron & board, laundry basket, flashlight, salt & vinegar, ice & water, my daughter found coloring stuff, everything was very well done. Thank you Meg! Such a short walk to the beach. We rented a golf cart (walking distances is hard for me) which was a perfect way to simply cart all our stuff. We loved it so much, just need to convince the rest of my family to move to Folly!
