Charming Pet Friendly Oceanview Bungalow - Prime Location - Steps to beach

This cottage is ideally located for families and couples who want to come and go from the beach and downtown without driving, parking or walking very far. The beach access, directly across the street, is just 40 feet from the front steps. Restaurants and shopping area are just 3 blocks away. We are located at the corner of West Ashley Ave. and 4th Ave. - look for our aqua cottage with widows walk on the top.

One of Folly's original cottages, the Love Shack has been updated inside with creature comforts. But the large front deck is still our guests' favorite - as it puts you right in the Folly action with great views. You can see and hear the ocean from almost every room in the house - or listen to the ocean and feel the breezes. There's even a roof top deck over the porch if you want a panoramic view of the island.

This rental offers guests a combination of comfort and nostalgia that's getting harder to come by...we have aimed to preserve the same flavor we enjoyed as youngsters coming to the beach, before the era of condos and 'McMansions.' This property has 2 bedrooms and a large living area, both areas equipped with 42' flat screen TVs. Our cottage has approximately 650 square feet.

The living area and kitchen are open, divided by a bar/table/counter which is an old hatch door from a WWII Liberty Ship - refinished of course.

Folly Beach is a six mile long barrier island, and the closest beach to historic Charleston, South Carolina, 15 minutes on the Connector.

We welcome children of all ages and dogs. Our property is located on a corner lot. The backyard has a canopy of live oaks and is completely fenced. This home is not nearly as elevated as the newer ones; so there's only 10 steps from the back door to the yard. All these features make pet care and child care a lot easier. And don't worry about parking - we have 4 off street spaces at the back of the lot; and another in the front.

Wonderful Property!
My husband and I came to Folly Beach for our anniversary and we had the best time! This property gave us the easiest access to the beach and the downtown Folly area; we enjoyed walking to dinner each night. We definitely fell in love with Folly after our trip and look forward to returning!

This vacation cottage was absolutely perfect. Had everything we needed, great location, extremely clean and tidy, everything was just perfect. Even down to the little things like ice in the freezer, USB receptacles for charging devices, dishwasher, coffee maker, shoe rack (sounds minor but just an example of this place being set up for you and ready to be a vacation home). The porches are amazing to sit and, spots with both sun and shade, just beautiful.

Love this precious beach cottage so much. It's nothing fancy, but has all the charm.... we adore the crow's nest on the roof, the large front porch, the fenced, dog-friendly back yard, the laundry room available downstairs in the basement, plenty of parking, the proximity to the beach and Center Street.... We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfortable cottage with up-to-date appliances. Easy access to the beach and downtown. Loved the screened in porch and the fenced in backyard for our dogs. Lots of parking. Being able to see and hear the ocean from the porch was definitely a highlight for us.

Girls Spring Break Trip
Even professors need a break. The Loveshack was a perfect getaway for the girls to relax on Spring break. Gigi, the property manager was amazing. The cottage was immaculate. We crossed the street to walk the beach and could walk for lunches and dinner. We will be back.
