"The house and lovely shady park suited us very well as the weather was very hot. However the kitchen was far too small and inconvenient for a large number of people. We had problems with the pool, the water turned green and the cover jammed. These problems were dealt with very quickly by the manager."

The house is located in the middle of the village of Saulieu, which quick access to local restaurants and businesses (including a nice boulangerie at the end of the street). "Very nice house with unspoiled view of the famous Cote d’Or. House is spacious with nice bathrooms and has great veranda and excellent pool in big garden. Very friendly owner who has great tips for restaurants and wine tasting."

"There is a lot to say about our stay at Vign 'appart, only a little bit about it is good. Firstly, our confirmation email from Expedia said we would be met at reception when we arrived. This didn't happen. The door was looked and no one was there. The sign on the door said to use the intercom, but there isn't any intercom, so we called the number on the door of the hotel and no one answered, so I looked at our confirmation email from Expedia and found a different number, which was answered by...

"The historic home gave everyone their own space and plenty of activities. With loads of character and modern convenience we had everything we needed for a great summer holiday. With the weather being warm the pool was a welcome relief and had naturally warmed up to 23. The location was very central in burgundy and we had some great day trips. Highly recommended."

"Beautiful historic hotel — excellent breakfast and quiet street. NOTE that there is NO elevator and the stairs are stone and spiral. It was fine for us but older people or anyone with balance issues needs to be careful"
