Good location, clean but simple. Not overly friendly at check-in and very strict on policies, but nice enough at check out. Note: there is no on-site parking. On street parking MAY be available, and there are some garages near-by but not very close but all require payment

The man who attended was very kind, the woman not so much. Room very spacious and very nice, the part of the shower maybe something narrow like the elevator. it is very located, very close to the train station, you can walk, it is a very quiet area, you can not find restaurant nearby. They allow you to store your luggage until it is checkin time. Your reservation may include, or not, breakfast, make sure.

Friendly, clean and basic.
The hotel occupies the upper floors of the building so there is a lift and stairs to reception. If you have mobility issues you may want to clarify if this hotel will be suitable. The hotel is on the basic side but everything is clean and the staff are very friendly. Our bed and bedding was comfortable and in good condition. We could hear some road noise but this was very limited and unless you are a very light sleeper I don't think this should be an issue. Our room did not have air conditioning but this wasn't a problem as temperatures were mild, again in the height of summer this may be an issue. There are no in-room tea or coffee making facilities and this could be a great improvement if the management is reading this. The shower generally was excellent, cubicle was very clean, lots of hot water and good flow rate. Did not eat at the hotel during our stay so cannot comment on the breakfast offering, I don't believe that other meals are catered for, so you are on your own in that regard. The Ponte Vecchio and historic quarter is about a 20-minute stroll along the river so not too far in nice weather but in rubbish weather, this may be an issue. Facilities nearby are fairly limited with a couple of nice restaurants and a supermarket. If you are looking for an affordable hotel that is clean, gets the basics right and you don't mind walking. This is a hotel worth considering.

Do not Stay !! no AC !! worst Manager!!
We stayed 3 nights in this hotel last week of June. We realized after entering the room that there is no AC, really !! You call yourself a 3 start hotel !!! Don't even bother to mention in the room details that you don't have AC. It's horrible in the hot summer. Reason for not recommending this hotel - 1. Non AC - absolute no in the summertime. 2. Shower bath area is 1 and half ft by 1 and half ft. You cant take shower with doors closed. 3. We traveled by bus when needed to visit the historical places or to the station - just 5 min ride and 3 stops- but if you plan to return hotel late night or even 10ish in the night - the area is not feeling safe for the family. 4. The manager/business owner - rude, unfriendly. We had to do early check out at 7. The breakfast opens at 7.30 in the morning. When I requested to get a cup of coffee, he said he can't the coffee vending machine won't allow him to make a coffee before 7.30 AM !! like seriously !! Dude, you should get retired from your work and appoint someone professional.

Great location.
Centrally located so you can visit almost every known place but a bit pricey. Helpful staff. Can leave luggage at lobby but need to pick them before 10pm - No service after that.

2 days in Florence
The hotel is actually in a good location. We walked downtown both days we were there and left our car parked next to the hotel. Parking is tricky and the road next to the hotel is busy. Our room did not have air conditioning either (it was 93 both days). However, the hotel owner was outstanding, giving us a map with directions and his take what to see in the amount of time you have. Breakfast was a little bland, but made up for it with good coffee. The room was nice enough and cooled down at night. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a couple days stay in Florence.

very shady area
this hotel is 45 minutes away from SMN station. The hotel is located at a very shady area so you have to get back home before the sun goes down. The room was smelly, no privacy. The hotel owner woke us up at night because we shouldn’t take a shower past the guests bed time. The view we had was terrible, you could see refugee campers. The hotel owner is also very creepy and kept wanting to interfere and come in our room when we were in it.

Not everything worked properly. Window shutters and some bathroom facilities need attention. Would benefit from double glazing to reduce street noise.

Travel convenience
Close to the main train station in Florence, and walking distance to car rentals. Host was very accommodating with an extremely late arrival caused by train delays, and storage of luggage after checkout to deal with our car rental.

Horrible hotel in a shady area
Where should I start with this terrible place that claims its a hotel, it is more like a home for refugees. This is the worst place I have been to all over Europe! First of all, its far from the train station (approx 15 minutes away) but there is no easy path to get there and it is in a dangerous area where all druggies and homeless people live. Right in front of the hotel there 4 large garbage bins and the stench of the bins will follow you till you get in your room. The first floor has an elevator which then takes you to the reception on the 2nd floor. The hotel manager is the receptionist, chef, and house keeper, and very arrogant. He acts friendly and tries to act like a guide so that he can receive positive reviews. If you go to florence, you do not need anyone to guide you because its a very tiny town and its easy to get find the main attractions. The room he gave us was exactly next to the reception and the breakfast area so his annoying presence was felt even when we were in our room. He would talk and laugh right outside our room door and even heard him comment about us to his other staff (I know italian). From the time we entered the room smelled like a public toilet so we kept the balcony doors open for the two nights we stayed there and had to deal with flies and other insects coming in the room. Also the room he gave was not facing the street, it was facing the other homeless apartments and in between a dumpsite. Overall a horrible experience.

Big room, comfortable stay
If you are looking to stay near the heart of Florence, well.. this hotel might not be your best choice. However, the room is really spacious, compared to other boutique sized hotels in Florence, and the owner is super nice. The staffs greet you all the time you see them, and are really helpful giving you directions and making restaurant reservations. We did not have breakfast here, but we saw the owner making cappuccino and latte to the customers. This hotel has elevator, which is VERY helpful especially after a long, hot day. Although the rooms do not have air conditioning, we did not have too much trouble, because we had a gigantic ceiling fan right above our bed. The bathroom was really spacious and clean, too. If you do not mind staying 5-10 mins away (by bus) from the heart of the city, definitely recommend staying here.

not close to anything
We could not find the place first of all... not sure that was anyone's fault but our own. But when we got there... it was about 40 degrees outside and we realized our room did not have air conditioning. In Florence in the middle of the summer, a fan is not suffice. It was dangerously hot. And unfortunately the area of town is a little run-down... leaving the window open was not an option due to the location and because you share the balcony with the neighbouring room. It was reasonable and the staff were so nice. We are used to walking, we walked all over Rome and everywhere else we went- with backpacks! but this is so far, and it's not a nice walk... it's similar to walking downtown mexico. it did not seem safe.... but you know what, for the price and if you have a car i'm sure it would be fine. But no air conditioning is so difficult with the current heat wave in italy...

nice staff and very helpful with what to see/do but there was no air con only a ceiling fan so was very uncomfortable. Also random the wall plugs are not the typical Europe plugs but the manager lent us an adapter, was quite strange that.

Good budget hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful and room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was not worth the extra 7euros as it was very basic. The one outstanding aspect of staying in this hotel was that we experienced the best meal in the whole stay of Italy at a restaurant down the road called Rosticceria Giuliano3 Outstanding, especially the ribs!

Great Budget Hotel
Overall a great hotel if you're on a budget. The staff was very friendly and gave us a map and guide for our stay in Florence. Since we were tight for time this helped us out a lot. Only thing missing for me was air conditioning but with the patio door open it was ok.
