Feels like home
This is the second time we have stayed at this property and again we were sad to leave. It literally feels like home (but with a better climate!) There is not a bad comment to be made, everything from cleanliness to hospitality, it has it all. I highly highly recommend!!

Wonderful stay!
Bill was a great host! He has a wonderful place. If you want to stay outside of the city I highly recommend his place! We had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon!

More fun than we imagined, just the best!
Our small group of friends meets each year at a different VRBO location, usually in Texas. Our stay at Country Chimes was by far our favorite rental out of 15 years of meet ups. The website photos really don’t do it justice. The property owner was a fantastic host and so personable and attentive but also careful not to be intrusive. Communication was great, house amenities were very comfortable and the ambiance of having his ranch livestock including chickens, peacocks, retired race horses and Texas longhorns as well as his two sweet dogs all available and in close proximity to the house was an unforgettable experience. The area around the town of Florence was quaint and serene and included picturesque vineyards and wide open land for cattle ranches. Kudos to Bill for being such a creative and respectful host and allowing us to hang out on his property to enjoy a peaceful and memorable retreat.

The location of this property was great for us and we enjoyed being out of the city and away from the traffic. The outdoor spaces are so inviting and even in the central Texas heat, the oak trees were lovely shade. Would recommend!

We had a great time!
We stayed the night for a wedding at the vineyard. Perfect, convenient location. My 1 year old daughter had so much fun walking around looking at the peacocks and horses. The house was cozy but plenty of space for my family and dog.

What an amazing experience staying here! No detail left behind, to include stocked kitchen, indoor doggie bed, and farm fresh eggs provided! Bill is a genuine guy and amazing host. The menagerie of animals, on the property, was incredible and made for a bonus experience. Wonderful place to stay!

Taste of Texas
Looking for a taste of Texas? Stop looking and book here NOW! All the space and amenities you could ask for. Great communication with Bill the host started before we even arrived. Pull up and watch your jaw drop. REAL Texas Longhorns, beautiful horses, gorgeous peacocks, free range chickens and a friendly lil cat with a meow you could probably hear from the road, to begin a great stay. The interior of the home was welcoming with it's decor and provided a comfortable stay. There is so much to offer with the property, we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it all. Quick access from the Highway and close to town for any goods you may need. Bill was overly gracious with our entire group. I highly recommend booking this property. I just hope it won't be at the same time as us because WE WILL be back!! Thank you again Bill for everything.

Awesome stay!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Bill’s property! We were in town for a wedding at the vineyard. House was clean and nicely decorated! All amenities were provided! Plenty of linens provided too! The farm animals were the special added touch we didn’t know we needed! We will have to come back again as we didn’t spend enough time enjoying it! Thanks Bill!

“Country Chime” was charming
Our stay at country chime was amazing! We loved being out of the “big city” and we really enjoyed being on the ranch with the beautiful views, Longhorn steer, peacocks and chickens. It was a Texas stay like no other. Our host and ranch hand were so nice and accommodating, giving us farm fresh eggs and helping us set up the fire pit in the evening. The near by winery and restaurant were an added special treat. It was exactly what we were hoping for on our first trip to Texas!

Texas Ranch Experience
We only wish we had planned a longer stay to really experience the authentic ranch life at this homestead! It was very well stocked with all possible needs met. As welcoming as the host was, the best part was the opportunity to interact with his horses, dogs, cats, peacocks, and photograph the long-horned cattle. Already looking forward to another stay in the future!

We literally couldn’t ask for more. Was just like walking into our own home. We arrived super late at night because of flights and Bill had the home all lit up for us. The animals were absolutely amazing. My kiddos loved it as well. The best part….the showers!! Holy moly! Best VRBO we have ever stayed in. We will be back next fall!

Awesome Experience
We came for a wedding and selected this home because we needed accommodations that were dog friendly. We were not prepared to just fall in love with this place! The owner, Bill,is amazing and friendly and also ready to assist with anything you need. The animals were wonderful to interact with or look at. The view is spectacular. The home was so comfortable and a great escape from the heat. We really enjoyed everything about this place.

Magical Country Experience
This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and we plan to return! The house is immaculate with everything you could possibly need for cooking and more! The animals are friendly and wonderful and kids and adults alike loved feeding them and marveling at their beauty & antics. Bill is the greatest.host.ever., and we are so thankful to him for such perfect family time! (Added bonus: Mom & Dad were able to sneak over to the nearby winery for a fabulous, farm-to-table dinner!) Wins all the way around!

We really enjoyed the well stocked kitchen (every pot/pan/utensil you might need), comfortable bedding and furniture, and the overall cleanliness. The only issue we had, was the smaller bathroom door does not stay closed due to a flappy piece of door trim. It caused more than one unexpected flashing during our 2-night stay.

Another excellent visit to Bill’s place!
This was our second visit to Bill’s little farm in Florence. Again he was a warm and gracious host that made us feel so welcome :) We just loved the property that is wonderfully cared for and has the most relaxing views. Even in the hot Texas summer the breeze never stops on the deck. The kids love getting to run around and explore and play with all his friendly animals. Bill has created a relaxing rustic environment that adults and kids love. We will definitely be back :)

Texas Getaway
I love this type of short term rental- the owner, Bill, is close by (and it is not a corporate management, it's all Bill), the home is well stocked with all you need (no need to bring the things you expect in a home like dish soap or paper towels etc), it feels like someone's home and Bill is all about making sure you have a good time. Our children (and me) LOVED it. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend out of the city. Feeding and petting the horses was a highlight of the year and getting close enough to pet a longhorn was incredible. We read in the hammock, ate under the oak, drank our tea/coffee/hot chocolate on the front porch, chatted under the stars, had great conversations with Bill. His property is close to the highway making easy access to get into town. We've told all of our friends and we'll be back if we need to get out of town again.
