"If you are looking for a remote location in the Westfjords with an amazing view, this is the place. The view from the living/dining room overlooking Vatnsfjordur and the Atlantic Ocean is serene and can't be beat for beauty. The location is very quiet with very little car traffic. A Little Peace and Quiet

"If you are looking for a remote location in the Westfjords with an amazing view, this is the place. The view from the living/dining room overlooking Vatnsfjordur and the Atlantic Ocean is serene and can't be beat for beauty. The location is very quiet with very little car traffic. You have to travel 45 minutes to the nearest town, but there is a hotel within a couple of miles with a gas pump and a good restaurant. The location is a good base for traveling to many of the Westfjord sites. The lodge is well appointed with all kitchen necessities. I traveled solo but there are plenty of comfortable beds for a larger group. It is always nice to have an accommodation with a washer and dryer. Several days the sheep were on the front lawn. The host Jon Baldur was very quick to reply to my many questions prior to travel. This was my 3rd trip to Iceland and I will be sure to use another Nordic Lodge in the future."
