"Albie’s cottage was delightful. Perfect location secluded amongst the trees and only 5 mins stroll to the beach. We did some lovely walks and great swims and snorkels. Very cosy and welcoming shack, beautiful views from upstairs, good for star gazing too. Pavla was very good at answering all our questions and left us some beautiful fresh herbs too "

"House is beautifully setup with everything provided in the kitchen, bathroom, laundry etc. There are no close neighbours or road noise, merely the many native birds providing a soundtrack. Bed is comfortable, garden is pretty and the trees surrounding the house are an excellent wind break (wind is, as expected, a constant companion on the island). The hosts leave fresh flowers in all rooms. The property is a short distance from Whitemark with wonderful views of the Strezlecki range. Importantly for summer, the house has fly screens, so you can get a cool breeze and no bugs. There is no WiFi; this made it a digital detox and that was excellent for the break we wanted from our chaotic lives. The Flinders Island locals are friendly and welcoming. The night sky is exceptional, no light pollution and it will take your breath away!"
