"An excellent hotel overall that has a good restaurant, good spa facilities, comfortable rooms, regular shuttle bus and is conveniently situated for the town and local bus. The hotel is let down by some minor issues: small boot/ski room, poor cooked breakfast options, limited hot water and spa areas dominated by children at all times. "

"I went with a friend for a ski weekend. The hotel has a shuttle bus that runs up and down and they were very quick when we called them to come pick us up. The rooms are very nicely appointed, large and comfortable. My only pointer to management would be that the staff at the check-in desk are pretty clueless. I think they are mostly trainees. On arrival they checked me into a room that is no longer being used for guests, ie it had no curtains etc. When I left in the morning and tried...

"I travel all the time and this location in Flims ( next to LAAX ski resort) was one of the best. The hotel staff is wonderful and makes you feel at home. The attention to detail for skier is great—the early morning breakfast to get you on the slopes on time. One of the hidden treasures of this hotel is the FREE bus stop across the street ( Post Office stop). The bus leaves at 8:25 each day and picks you up and drops you off right at TRAM. "Alpen Hotel is just a perfectly good, clean, functioning hotel on the edge of town. Good value for money. Warm. Good facilities. Very comfortable, welcoming, accommodating. Really helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay there and would (probably will) go back. It's a short walk to the shuttle bus, so that might put people off (50 yards maybe) but I didn't find it an issue, and worth it for the quality of the place."

"Front desk staff were extremely courteous, provided us with a map and some ideas for shopping and dining nearby (though prepare yourself for the price of dining out in Switzerland generally). During my family’s 2 week European trip, Central Hotel Post had the most comfy beds of our entire vacation, and the strongest water pressure of any shower I have ever seen (always a pleasant surprise, in my book). Our 3 rooms were spacious and very clean, we had windows that opened up to the square below, and some of the beautiful mountains surrounding, and there was an elevator/lift; we rented a car and there seemed to be no on-site parking for the hotel but we found a parking garage close by that was free on Sundays (hotel staff also gave us other options). Chur is a bit of a sleepy town so very quiet and walkable. We had a short stay and breakfast was pretty good for that period, not overwhelming variety but enjoyable nonetheless. We stayed here for an overnight before catching the Bernina Express the next morning and it is a very short distance to the train station (and the Europcar rent-a-car next door). I’d be happy to recommend this hotel to family and friends who hope to do something similar in future."
