As is the case with most mountain homes, this home does not have air conditioning. It does however stay cooler than most homes due to the lack of windows exposed to direct sunlight all through the day. The locals like to open up the windows at night to let in the cool air, usually in the 50's and 60's. There are also many fans throughout the house.
The laundry room is located on the West side of the other building. There is washer and one dryer that are shared with 6 other units. The laundry machines are coin operated, coins are NOT provided. 1 load of laundry costs $2.75 ($1.25 to wash and $1.50 to dry). Laundry supplies MIGHT BE available if they were left by other guests. If there are some, they will be found in the closet in the living room.
Located in the heart of Flagstaff this mature quaint residential neighborhood is with-in walking distance to Historic Downtown Flagstaff, Wheeler Park, Thorpe Park, the FUTS, and other trails! The neighborhood has convenient access to restaurants, groceries, and NAU. This neighborhood consists of mainly older historic single family homes and many repurposed buildings; like an old church that was turned into apartments. Lots of history in this part of Flagstaff!
This neighborhood is great for guests that just want to get away, relax, and not do much driving. It is also perfect for the guests that will be on the move because it is so centrally located!
When you stay here, you'll have very convenient access to Highway 180 which will take you to Mt. Humphreys/Snowbowl and the Grand Canyon. You can also easily get to both the I17 (Highway to/from Phoenix) and I40 (West to Williams and the Grand Canyon, and east to Winslow), as well as Highway 89 (South to Sedona and Verde Valley, North to Sunset Crater, Lake Powell, North Rim of Grand Canyon).
