"The hotel is located at a quiet neat neighborhood. A short walk to the Fira town center; yet steep slopes, common in this island, could be challenges to some visitors. The staff are friendly and helpful. A shoutout particularly to Maria and Kostas. I booked the hotel through Expedia, which listed chech in starting time of the hotel and didnt mention the unusual check in end time at 8 pm. We had late night flight arriving around 10 pm. "Athena was welcoming and communicative, making our visit a breeze. We came in by ferry and our ride was arranged seamlessly amidst the mayhem of ferry arrivals. The property itself is exquisite (we stayed in the Grand Villa with 6 people). The location is right in the Caldera with beautiful views. Although loud at night outside, it was quiet within the rooms and we had very good sleep. The trek to the villa is extensive given the cliff side etc. but that is a given for the area!"
