Barn was a great host and thought of everything that you need! Very clean and organized house! Nice setting in the middle of the woods! I would definitely recommend it and I also would stay there again!
Loved it! It’s very well-appointed and comfortable! Plenty of room for us to spread out including our doggos. Property owner welcomed us and invited us to use the trails on the property which were nicely maintained and beautiful. Can’t think of a thing we needed or wanted - highly recommend!
What an amazing home! Beautiful property perfect for anyone!! We enjoyed our vacation even more because of this wonderful property. Everything was provided.. we didn’t need a thing! Extremely comfy vibe… just lovely!!! The owner Barn is so friendly, sweet, & accommodating!! Thank you soooo much!
Quiet and relaxing place and easy to access. We met the owner, Barn, a super nice person who was more than accomadating that the cabin met our needs. We had a great time.
Nice secluded cabin in the woods. House had everything needed for a week long stay. We enjoyed the rear screened in porch, outdoor grill and fire pit nightly, (firewood supplied a huge plus). We highly recommend for a nice getaway!!
We had a great 3 day holiday weekend staying in this cabin. It was very clean, quiet and exactly what we were looking for. We watched the deer from the porch while we drank our coffee. Proximity to the wineries, sleeping bear dunes and Traverse City was great. There are a couple of places to get food within 10 minutes as well as a little brewery. We will stay again.
Cute clean cabin with wonderful screened porch and lots of area for dog to exercise
Cabin was very clean and cute. Loved screened in porch for evening relaxing without bugs. Nice area for the pup to get exercise. Host was very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
This cabin exceeded all of our expectations! The check in process was a breeze, and the host, Barn, was fantastic. This location was the perfect size for our needs and it was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The sun porch at the back of the cabin was easily the favored spot by all of us. As a “work from anywhere” person, I appreciated the WiFi connection - super stable and fast enough for what I needed. We also appreciated that our dog was able to join us on this trip; there was plenty of room for him to run and play. Our trip was mostly rained out, but that just amplified the coziness of the cabin! I would recommend this location for anyone visiting the Traverse City area looking for more of a rustic/woodsy feel. We are already planning on returning for a future trip. :)
Rustic cabin with plenty of room and Barn, the host, is the best. Cabin is well equipped and I appreciate the little touches. Only a half hour from traverse city and an hour from the dunes, it's a great spot. Thank you Barn, we had a great time, thanks again!
Our stay was great. Easy to navigate and communicate with the host. Clean and well stocked. Check in and check out was easy and smooth. The beds were comfy and the towels were great! The doors to the bedrooms were fairly thin so you heard noise from the living space but over all great place to stay!
Everything was as described. Actually the cabin was better than we expected! Great yard for the dogs to run. We enjoyed the fire pit and the night sky full of stars every night. Enjoyed walking some of the trail in the woods. Great place to stay - you won’t be disappointed!
The bnb was wonderful. Out in the woods with lots of nearby trails and activities. We could have stayed longer just to get to everything. It wasn't far from Traverse City either, so we could easily enjoy the city life too. And our host, Barn, did a great job. He was helpful and friendly, and made sure our stay was everything we could hope for. I recommend his bnb to anyone.
We brought our 16 year old daughter and a few of her friends for the weekend to celebrate her sweet 16. We had high hopes for better weather, but it's Michigan- so you never know what you're going to get! The place is very clean and Barn is a delight to communicate with. It is a little rustic, but it has a nice cabin charm to it. Nothing to complain about other than the rain!
I have nothing negative to say about our recent stay here! Went up for a girls wine tour trip and the location was exactly what we were looking for. The house was clean and perfectly set up for a fun time. Barn was nothing short of an amazing host. He was in communication with me from the start and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 would go back or recommend to others!
We had wonderful time at this property. Cabin is very nice, it is actually better and bigger than in the pictures, so clean! and has anything one could need. Very nice porch with a grill and amazing fire pit. The host, Barn, is very accommodating, and responsive to any questions. The location is great, it is a short drive to Traverse city, and not far from Sleeping bear dunes. We have also done a day trip to Petoskey while there. Cabin is in a secluded location but only a few minutes drive from a full size grocery store, so you don’t need to bring a ton of food with you. This was one of the best properties we stayed in Michigan and would definitely like to come back!
My brother and I just spent a week at the cabin and we enjoyed every minute of it. It's on a beautiful piece of land in a quiet wooded area -- but just a short drive to Fife Lake and other conveniences like a grocery store, gas station, bank, etc. Just the drive to the cabin down Vans Lane is a treat for anyone who loves a canopy of trees.
The Wi-Fi connection is strong and very reliable.
The tap water is drinkable and there's no long wait for hot water in the shower.
All of the beds are comfortable which isn't always the case when renting.
Parking was stress-free. No squeezing into a tiny driveway or playing musical cars to come and go.
The cabin has two porches: One in the front to sit on and take in the view, and one screened-in porch in the back. The back porch is great for dining or hanging out when the bugs start the bug you.
To keep warm there are several heaters including a pellet stove which Barn will help you with if neede.
There is an AC unit in the way but we didn't use it.
We also never had the chance to use the firepit, but it looked very appealing.
