"Good stay "

"We are delighted to have found this beautiful VRBO and the quaint area of St. Charles! We were coming to St Louis to see our Phillies play the Cardinals but didn’t want to stay in the city. This was a PERFECT spot. Close enough to go exploring the city, but then coming back to the quiet historic streets of St Charles. The Guest House was cozy and unique with a peaceful view of the Missouri River just a golf stroke away. Steeped in history but certainly not lacking any modern amenities needed. Nicely stocked with backup toiletries, a few snacks, and bottled water so we didn’t have to run out and buy groceries as we often do at many VRBOs when only bare minimum supplies are provided. The brick gas fireplace adds a perfect atmosphere. I’d love to visit in the colder fall/winter months just to use it more. Loved the coffee table book showing photos of the process of how the owners refurbished this little gem and gave it new life to offer a beautiful, quiet place to stay. Walking the brick streets to the many shops and amazing restaurants was absolutely charming. Everyone was friendly. We had two wonderful meals at the Main House Restaurant just steps away. Also enjoyed great meals at Tony’s, Novellus, and Allin’s Diner. And had a great time listening to LIVE music at the Honky Tonk just blocks down the street. Walkable and safe area with loads of charm. Thank you for the great stay!"
