"Peaceful, love the trees - the house is big, quiet, warm, clean and in very good condition. Well stocked. All we could want and loved the roomy kitchen with lots of counter space. Our dogs liked the hiking in the area. We would stay here again."

"If I could give more than a five-star rating on this place, I would. It was amazing—charming in design, quiet, clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the small amenities that were waiting for us—cookies, drinks and high-end bathroom supplies. We will definitely come back again! "

"Five(5) senior golfers on a 2-night stay for an annual golf tournament. Perfect accommodations: comfortably sleeps 5, number of bathrooms perfect, great kitchen for the one(1) dinner we prepared (steak, chicken and veggies), very clean and in a very quiet location. "This is the ideal house, in a terrific location. Driveway parking, powerful external lighting, gates on every side of the fence, comfortable furniture both indoors, and outdoors. I mean REALLY comfortable furniture. The windows are new, and slide open with ease. Good water pressure/temperature, and spacious bathrooms (2). Each bedroom has a new flatscreen TV, and the main TV is quite large. We signed into Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video in order to watch movies. Caught the World Series,...

"We really enjoyed our relaxation on the beautiful deck overlooking the countryside. The home was well appointed with lots of space for all 7 of us. We were able to relax in the hot tub, fix a wonderful family meal and just enjoy each other’s company."

"This was our second trip to Sweet Retreat. We had to cancel last year because of my son's cancer. We would like to just move in and stay permanently. It is homey and allows for all of us to find our own space. It has every thing you need to prepare food of your choice. You enjoy cooking and having family close. Ferndale is always special and you find family there even when you don't have any. Town closes fairly early, but coming home to this beautiful and comfy home makes...

"Our family had a great stay. It was a little hard to find, luckily I had looked at the photos online and knew what the house looked like. We are not from the area so def not used to all the hills/mountains. I think it should be made more clear of just how steep the driveway is to the house, that was shocking for us. Communication with property owner was excellent. She was so nice & responded so quickly to all messages. There was Plenty of space for all of us, big open living/dining/kitchen...

"We selected this property so that at the end of each day of hiking we could come back to refresh and then just walk the couple of blocks to Main St to eat dinner. The house was perfect for our getaway; very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed, including some special local goodies from the host and lovely toiletries in the bathrooms.
