Garden Suite is a charming, None Smoking, one bedroom apartment with beautiful pasture views. It is located within walking distance to our Victorian Village downtown. Outside patio looking over a huge private yard perfect for the first cup of coffee, and your happy dogs!! Your little friends can stay with you for only $25.00 per night/per dog. (we do not allow cats).
Enjoy a walk in the woods in Russ Park with great walking trails located across the street or take a short drive (5 miles) to Centerville Beach or take a drive to Avenue of the Giants and visit the Famous Redwood Tress.
This unit will sleep 4, very comfortable bedroom with a queen bed, and a also very comfortable single fold sofa bed in living room area, with an oversize bathroom!
If you are bringing a pet, please don't forget to mark it with your reservation to avoid and additional payment request.

We stayed with our two dogs and enjoyed the scenery and small town of Ferndale, with the awesome Victorian houses and pastoral views. Well kept property and nice owners. Great yard for the dogs and a very short walk to town. Nice shops, limited choice of restaurants but a short drive to Eureka or Fortuna if you want more seafood, etc. Jack's Seafood in Eureka was nice, with waterfront seating on the bay.

Perfect stay in Ferndale
This was a perfect-sized place for my family of 3 for 3 nights. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting and location but close enough to walk to Main Street. Easy and quick communication with the host. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location, beautiful views!
We enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Garden Suite. Very spacious, well stocked with everything we needed, comfortable bed (futon mattress as well), beautiful grounds with fenced in large back yard, which was nice for our dogs. I loved the close proximity to town (walkable), and the beautiful Russ Park right across the street, which has great hiking/running trails (steep), and expansive views. Would love to come back and stay longer next time!

Lovely Place
We stayed four nights with our dog, Bosco, who loved the space to run around and check out the cows and the deer. It is very peaceful and quiet with a large bedroom and bath. You are within walking distance to Main Street but feel like you are all alone in the countryside. Hosts are extremely responsive.

Comfortable Retreat
We enjoy our stay each time we come to the Garden Suite. Perfect for someone with a pet. Ferndale is a great little get away with good food and fun shops. We enjoyed checking out the Ferndale Museum and the little Carnegie Library on Main St.

Beautiful location in Ferndale
Garden suite was perfect for out family of 3 plus dog. Grounds were lovely and hosts accomodating. The access to the Rec room was a big bonus for our son. Short walk to town through the field and on sidewalks was very enjoyable. Close to the historic cemetery.

Quiet, Relaxing and Spacious
Really nice quiet farmland property with nice sized great room, bedroom and bath. Saw plenty of deer and wild turkey in the yard. Secure yard for our Frenchie to run around in. Close to town and 10 minutes to the beach! We really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely, relaxing location
This apartment felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. The space is bright, comfortable and the location is quiet and peaceful. The yard is large and dog-friendly. The host was very responsive, even bringing over a corkscrew when I couldn't find one. Overall this property is exactly as advertised and we really enjoyed our visit.

We had such a wonderful and peaceful stay at the garden suite. It’s exactly what we needed. It’s a lovely country property within a very short walk to town. Ferndale is a true gem of a place with lovely shops and good dining options. Sylvia was an amazing host, providing us with information regarding sight seeing options in the area. Wonderful Dog Friendly Garden Apartment with Views!
Sharon pro-actively reached out to us a few days before our arrival with access information. The apartment was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We travel with our Golden Retriever who appreciate the fenced in area outside the back door. The bathroom was exceptionally spacious, with lots of counter top & towels. Hope we can stay here again when next in the lovely village of Ferndale.

Wonderful property!!!
My husband, myself and our labradoodle spent the past week in the Bluff House Garden Suite. What a wonderful place to stay. Sharon and Sylvia have decorated the Suite beautifully and provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. There is a fenced in yard for the dog which she enjoyed tremendously. What a fantastic week we had visiting the North Coast beaches and dog friendly local redwood parks. Thank you Sharon and Sylvia!!!!!

We were only able to stay overnight, but Ferndale is a great weekend getaway, and the Bluff House is worth EVERY dime. Very nice rooms, clean and self contained. You feel secluded, but you are only a three minute drive to downtown. Sylvia (our hostess) was extremely helpful, and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this to couples looking for a romantic getaway, or even a small family with a pet. Great experience here, and we will definitely return.

OPen the back door......fenced in yard for our dog👍🏼 Yummy cookies on the table👍🏼......spacious!! Giant windows overlooking pasture. I forgot to bring my magnifying mirror (can’t put make up on without it!)....there was one in the bathroom👍🏼. We were very comfortable and look forward to returning.
