"Smaragda is a tiny, cosy house, very clean, well maintained and well equipped. The rooftop terrace is perfect for warmer days, with a panoramic view of the village and the sea. Ioanna, the owner, was very helpful with many kind recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. The village is picturesque and quiet, with friendly residents. "Wi-Fi was down the entire time we were there. Not a huge deal but this was never disclosed to us until we asked. Seems like some information we could have be told up front. Bathroom was definitely not cleaned before our arrival. House is overall tired and needs some basic attention. Lots of lights that don’t work, shower was pretty dirty. Definitely more “rustic” than “traditional” The property is beautiful and we did enjoy our stay, just wish it was cleaner. "

"When we first arrived I was worried that the villa was too remote but we were close to 2 beautiful beaches and the town was only a 10 minute drive. The pool area was lovely with great views and it was good to have all en suite rooms."

"The old house is very nicely renovated and decorated. We loved to spend our time there. Everything you need is there. The yard, the real living-room, is quite small, but very agreeable and has a nice atmosphere. Hostess Eleni is absolutely friendly and gave us a lot of advices for our trips and restaurants. In Kavoussi there are not to many tourists, so you feel as living in an authentic Kretian village. We are glad having found this accomodation and region for our holidays. . "

"Elia is a beautiful old property with all mod cons in a stunning location. We stayed six nights and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay here. The house is beautifully styled and the view from the upstairs deck is stunning. Eirini was so generous with providing general food provisions including butter, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, ham, beer, fresh fruit, etc. plus all the other basics even washing powder for washing machine. The location is perfect, there is a lovely taverna only 50m...

"A truly wonderful little house, very well appointed with bedding and towels. It's even somewhat of a tourist attraction due to the magnificent Bougainvillea. Just right for two people. Turn left out of the front door and you have 6 tavernas, 4 bars, a super bay to swim in and a well stocked little supermarket. The whole atmosphere is very tranquil and relaxed. Finally Androniki, the owner is fabulous and very attetive."
