"The location is great and the rooms are very spacious and nice. Be careful if you book a balcony as they are not all the same and not as pictured. If you can get a sea view balcony and get it in writing. The staff is fine but not overly friendly but maybe that’s cultural? "

"Pros Location, staff (specially Margarita serving breakfast), cleanliness of the hotel rooms Cons Hotel is very tired and in desperate need of renovation. Although the shower was clean, the mould in the tube made me feel uncomfortable. The rooms can use a few things such as a place for me to use my own hairdryer, apply makeup and box of tissues. "Really enjoyed the stay. Had a lovely big room facing the sea. The bed was big and very comfy. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, particularly the pancakes and pistachio cannoli. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best I’ve ever tasted. Everything about the stay was just right and fitted. Perfect. "

"The resort has an array of facilities – pools, basketball and soccer courts, restaurant and spa. They also have a fair amount of dining options. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Georgia helped me find a local osteopath to treat a recurring back issue, which helped. I do think the house keeping of the rooms need to pay more attention to details – my room wasn’t swept properly and the bathroom has hair from the previous guest. "

"Very lovely, brand new waterfront property in Ortigia. When Apple Maps helpfully directed us to the property the wrong way down a one-way street, someone from the hotel came out to where we were and helped deal with the car. Overall very friendly and very nice. Great breakfast."

"We absolutely loved this hotel! I wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night. The hotel is very modern. Great location. Wonderful bar area and restaurant. The staff goes above and beyond. I would absolutely stay here again if given the chance."

"Great location for exploring Syracuse, especially close to the archeological park. Mostly friendly staff and good service in the restaurant for dinner. The room is a decent size, clean and has a powerful shower. The breakfast had a good range of options but the 'hot' food was cold. Would have been good to have some powdered or long-life milk provided in the room for tea, instead of needing to request some from the bar."

"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. If we had a problem they responded immediately. As for this area of Sicily there is lots to do. Beach lovers are well catered for and there are plenty of possibilities for hikers.
