The Farmhouse has been in the Curtis family since 1904. This home is the jewel of Pier Cove. It is only one of a few structures in the area dating back to the time of Pier Cove’s shipping port in the mid-late 19th century. The original cabin (now the kitchen) was built by the Adams family in the mid 1840’s and the rest of the house was added in the 1860’s, modeled after the Lincoln-Todd estate in Springfield, IL.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and can sleep 13. This house is ideal for larger families. One bedroom features a large dorm style room with 4 beds! The kitchen is newly renovated and is perfect for large family style meals and entertaining. The kitchen leads out to a furnished deck perfect for cocktail hour, grilling and dinner.
We encourage you to take advantage of our 100 acres of ravine trails directly behind the Farmhouse. The Ravine entrance is to the south of Red barn. There are a few different trails that all will lead you back out to Lakeshore Dr. We recommend wearing covered clothing and hats as ticks are a problem in the early spring and summer.
The Farmhouse and Lakehouse both have private beach access on Lake Michigan. The stairs behind the Lakehouse are shared for passage for both houses to the beach.
This house is filled with generations of love and memories. We hope that you will make your own too! Also have a great croquet court to place a great in the summer
(7 night minimum in the summer)
