"We booked in to stay while attending an event nearby, and the location was perfect to get to and from it easily. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally attentive and good-humoured, which made us feel really welcomed. It was an easy check-in, helped by the fact that you can do some of it online. The place was a bit of a maze of corridors when you went up to find your room, which took a bit of getting used to when it came to navigating. "Quirky! Low ceilings, uneven floors, very old building. Landlord is friendly, as are the staff. Good breakfasts! Live music some evenings. Enjoyed the stay. Very convenient for visiting my mum!"

"I had a lovely stay at The Red Cow, this place is a real gem! The building and rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very attentive and friendly & the food I had was so good! Lovely local charm in the bar area with friendly faces welcoming me in. If I find myself needing to stay in this area again, I will without doubt be returning. Wonderful little inn. "

"We arrived later than we had planned but received a warm welcome from the hosts. We had the family room which is a good size, well decorated, warm and comfortable. The accomodation was spotless. We didnt eat there but will need to be in Cambridge in aroun 6 months time, so hoping we can stay again. Great value for money. Highly recommended. "

"The restaurant/bar was really modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great and plenty of choice. The room was very nice although a little dark but coped. The down side was there was no hot water for a shower either in the morning or evening. The other thing missing was biscuits to go with the drinks and our tea bags was never replenished so went without. "I had a great stay at Black Bull Inn. I was lucky enough to be there on a Quiz Night. The desk person (I didn't get his name) invited me to play and gave me a table next to his American friends. It was very nice. The room was great too. "

"The owner was so helpful and went above and beyond to get us to our event nearby. We had a very comfortable night; the rooms were clean with the usual facilities (tea and coffee) that you’d expect with bottled water and fresh milk provided in the fridge. The Inn is superbly located as just a few miles from Cambridge. A good choice of breakfast provided. Would definitely return. "

"Great spot and rooms and well kept. We could hear people walking above our room and the carpet is not conducive for luggage. Staff are incredibly friwndly and helpful. "

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"
