"We were excited to ice fish the famed Chaumont Bay for trophy walleye. Unfortunately the fishing didn't go as planned. The house was great, very clean and comfortable for our group. There was a minor issue with the boiler that the manager solved very quickly. I would definitely stay here again if the fishing was better. If you are headed there to ice fish, you should be aware that access to the water from the cottage is via a set of narrow stairs, and getting a shanty to the back yard is probably not possible. A jet sled fits, but you will struggle with anything wider. The kids did some fishing out in front of the cottage by carrying their equipment down, but for our trips onto the main Chaumont Bay we drove over to the state launch and left from there. Parking at the cottage is tight, with just enough room for 4 vehicles. The snow banks wouldn't allow for on-street parking of any additional vehicles. "
