"We enjoyed a great overnight stay after visiting Powis Castle. Check in was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was great and the shower was fabulous. Breakfast was excellent with well cooked quality ingredients. Every member of staff we encountered were superb. For the price you cannot go wrong. "

"Lovely Victorian hotel in great location with a steep history. Unfortunately the hotel seems to be in a time warp and not in touch with modern day competition with regards to room quality tv, bed, furnishings. The dining options were extremely close windowed and not flexible. Breakfast was really poor quality with limited choice with many expected food items not bailable or offered. It seemed to be more in line with a seaside bed and breakfast offering rather than what appeared to be a 4 star hotel. We don't regret staying at The Metropole. Just that we were a little disappointed "

"We had a fabulous stay at The Riverside. We stayed in one of the Garden rooms which was perfect in every way with thoughtful details, such as a torch to walk back with after dinner, and fresh milk in our fridge for tea/coffee. What really impressed was the service we received from the staff. Even though the bar and restaurant were busy, the manager and his brilliant young team looked after us so well . We will definitely return! "

"We stayed as joining friends for 60th Birthday and couldn’t fault anything, everyone was friendly, helpful and I’m sure if anything had happened during our stay it would have been sorted. Would return to hotel and recommend to friends & family. Oh and one of the best Breakfasts I’ve had Perfect."
