"We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa in August. Very well equipped and comfortable, and in a great location to explore the area - but note the roads are very windy and hilly so it can take a while to get places! The swimming pool is great with a fantastic view, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river. The owner Maria gave us some good tips on places to visit and made us very welcome. "My family and I had a wonderful 2 week holiday in Casa De Mata. We love the peace and tranquility of the environment. The house and garden had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Jose could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property if relaxing and spending time together as a family is what you want from a holiday."

"La casa en general está muy descuidada. La cocina estaba sucia y solamente pudimos usar el microondas y la cafetera. El resto de electrodomésticos muy sucios y en muy mal estado. Habitaciones separadas realmente solo tiene 2, y el baño, además de peligroso (varias regletas muy cerca de la ducha) es pequeño e insuficiente para una casa supuestamente para 8 personas. La piscina sucia también y con poca agua. Fuera hay unos perros, que aunque separados de la entrada, creemos que podrían saltar en...
