This is a Hunter's cabin. Nothing real fancy. Bathroom is not in the same cottage, it's in another cottage across the driveway. The host is very nice. This cottage is in a very peaceful location.
If you want to be in the woods this is your place. A good bit off pavement but very secluded and peaceful. Fantastic place for wheelers and snowmobiles. Host was great
The owners super helpful. The settings was perfect, I like being out in a peace and quiet setting. I will be back thank you for a great time.

Not a bad place to say, if you were planning on roughing it, it was not close to anywhere Or any towns. Water bathroom showers and laundry was in a complete different cabin you had Walk outside to get to. The cabin where we slept, had an odor could not figure out what it was or where it was coming from . The host was very nice and full of information to help us get through the week
We had a very bad experience at this property. We booked it for a reasonable price on vrbo. Not too $$ but definitely not underpriced. The description clearly stated that it slept 9 (we are a family of 7 with 5 young kids) and there was no mention (at the time of booking) of any extra fees or anything else. When we arrived, the host tried to charge us extra money for having more than 2 people. The host also edited the property description (after the booking) to state that there was a daily per person charge for greater than 2 people. There are lots of reasons why this doesn't make sense and is tantamount to extortion, but trust me this property isn't worth close to that charge.* We refused to pay the extra money. Rather than accept any kind of mistake (if there even was one) as their ultimate responsibility, the host threatened to charge us $$$ extra (if there had been this bogus $$/person/day charge). As a way of pretending to be nice to us, they only added $$ to our vrbo account charge. Needless to say, at this point we were mortified and left the property (we never stayed but had visited the property). Two days of phone calls with vrbo confirmed that we didn't have to pay any of the extra charge, but were jipped out of our original booking charge. Stay elsewhere!!
*Property issues:
No deadbolts on doors
No keys provided at checkin
Have to go outside to get to bathroom
Mediocre quality & location
We also requested & did not receive a copy of the checkin waiver
If you are headed to the UP and want to experience TRUE Yooper living look no further! Me and my SO took a trip up so she could experience the UP. Since she had never been north of St. Ignace I wanted yo find a central location with an authentic feel of Yooper life. This place fit the bill PERFECTLY. The few minute drive up the driveway to get to the cabin immediately gave us a sense of being in the Northern Michigan woods, peace and quiet. We were thrilled with the cabin. Spacious enough for us and our gear and location was perfect to take day trips anywhere in the Upper Peninsula. The property owner was very personable and made sure we had everything we needed. I definitely recommend this place. We will be staying here again soon.
I left 3 hours after I got there had the king suite but if I wanted water bathroom I had to go down stairs I was told the room had a bathroom It was not what they show on vrbo
Off the beaten path…Feels like home, if you enjoy the simple things. Very nice out in the woods kinda stay. Our dogs enjoyed new smells and the new adventure. We met the owners, they are a very nice couple and very attentive to their guests.
