The Ramsey Mountain Lodge is in the perfect location to quickly get to all the outdoor activities Fayetteville and Ace Adeventure Park has to offer! The house was clean and cozy.
We had a wonderful time at the stone lodge, and were really impressed with how many things there are to do in Fayetteville. Thank you to Sally and Bill for making this property available for visitors!
Super close to all the local activities you could do in town or around the Fayetteville and New River Gorge area. My group of friends had ample space and felt secluded at the house while still being close to all mentioned above. I’m so thankful for the best weekend with some of my best friends from near and far in the state I’m proud to call home!
Great location to visit New River Gorge National Park!
Lovely grounds, property and location. Beautiful porch.
The listing says that it sleeps up to 14, but I would say that not if 14 adults. There were 10 of us and the bunk beds for 4 normal size adults would be quite uncomfortable. However, it would probably be great for kids
This is the second time I’ve stayed at one of Bills property’s. This time we stayed at Bills Ramsey Mountain Lodge which is next door to Sugar Creek Chalet. We appreciate the close location to rafting and Fayetteville as well as the kindness, communication of Bill. The house is very clean and fit our needs for a two night stay.
Ramsey Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to stay in the New River Gorge! Situated on a quiet road amidst the woods, it's private and secluded, but close to everything. Fayetteville is minutes away, and the New River Gorge Bridge is not much further. The house is clean, roomy and well-appointed. A great place to relax after a busy day of exploring in the Gorge or Babcock State Park. We loved the pool table!
We stayed at this house with a group of 10 friends. The house was perfect with so many beds. We enjoyed having a large private yard for corn hole and horseshoes. The firepit is a great addition to the yard, and it seats many people. Most of our time was spent outdoors, but having the pool table was nice too. The house was very clean, and there were plenty of linens. I would recommend this property to anyone and would stay here again myself.
Everything was as expected. We couldn't get the TV to work right but that was okay. The internet was on the very slow side but that is no fault of the post. The main portion of the grill would not light with the igniter and there were some hot spots but still did its job properly. The Horseshoes and fire pit were a big hit. The HVAC system worked really well and kept the house nice and cool even as it was well over 90° when we stayed. The location was ideal for the Cantrell rafting trip along with the horseback riding and zip lining.
Absolutely beautiful property located minutes from all New River Gorge has to offer. The kitchen appliances were pristine and worked well. The beds and bedding was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. We didn’t try the grill or the fire pit, but both appeared nice. Plenty of room in the yard to play cornhole. Easy to communicate with the property manager, who was readily responsive. I would happily stay again.
Our family getaway consisted of a set of parents their adult children and the childrens children, the home was the perfect spot to hold 12 people for a long weekend. The house is located at the end of a long road off the main highway snuggled in the woods. Perfect location for national park lovers and extreme sport junkies, we were just minutes from shopping and downtown. Our family hated to leave this beautiful home and wonderful wildlife. This Vrbo is definitely top notch and our family absolutely will be back. The owners are located close by if you need anything and they keep a spectacular home, very clean and well stocked. Our family brought games to play and decided to leave them for the next family to enjoy a fun family game night.

Friendly Owners, Well equipped, Great location
This was more than we expected. The photos in the web site can't do enough justice for this great home in a great location. Our group of 12 with Grand Parents all the way to 5yr old had a blast. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are in mint condition and well equipped. The lawn and woods surrounding the house provide enough privacy and room for group activities. Gas Grill and Fire Pit added the extra touch for a great evening hang out for the large group.
Lots of fruit bearing trees, strawberry shrubs, fire flies in the night - Kids have only seen them in Disney Movies :)
House is very close to grocery, fast food, local restaurants and all the activities in the area.
A hot tub / swimming pool will make this the hot property in the town.
The owners were very helpful from the time I first contacted them (even before booking) until the day we left.
Defn recommend the place for families.
I must say the Ramsey stone lodge has everything you need in a VRBO rental . Having used VRBO here in the U.S. and abroad multiple times this property is as I said perfect . One of things that was impressive about the home was the many cooking utensils that were available including multiple cookie sheets. The house was very clean which I think everyone appreciates in a rental. Nice towels in bathrooms , bedding even the bunk beds were comfortable. Having a bathroom and shower downstairs was super convenient for the five guys that stayed down there . Bunk beds and queen futon are downstairs.
When it rained briefly we shifted gears from cornhole to playing pool in the basement, nice table and just a great setup!!!!
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how kind and helpful Bill & Sally were to help make our trip one for the memories!!!
The lodge is so perfectly located if you want to go rafting or zip lining there are two of the bigger outfitters just a short drive away!!! We used Adventure’s on the Gorge and I must say they were EXCELLENT!! ( 4.5 drive away) .
Bill & Sally A BIG THANK YOU to both of you for allowing us the privilege to stay in your beautiful lodge. We so look forward to returning one day to do some more exploring of this absolutely stunning part of West Virginia.

Great Family Vacation
Instead of heading to the beach again, we decided to have a "backyard" family vacation. Three generations (ages 21-75) gathered together for some good R&R time and also some exciting "Wild, Wonderful WV" time. Our family members enjoyed the change of pace and returning to their home state.
I was concerned that space (especially refrigerator) might be a problem for our group of 14, especially since we are a cooking family. We solved that with coolers. I also worried that the number of bedrooms might be a problem. The basement area made up for that and provided a wonderful place for our younger crowd. The pool table there was also well used. All the other amenities made up for anything that I was concerned about.
We felt like we were home. The house is well kept, very clean and meant for relaxing and having fun. We built a campfire, made s'mores, told family stories, and even sang. We laughed at how bad we had become at horseshoes. The spacious porches were occupied most of the time. The owners were so gracious and welcoming.
Some of our group enjoyed white water rafting. We failed miserably but had a great time at the Escape Room. The Ace Adventure Water Park was a fun day. The restaurants were good. The peace and quiet was refreshing.
It was a good week. Even if something larger or more modern were available, I still would choose Ramsey Mountain Lodge. It just has personality and was a good fit.

Great place
Best place to spend vacation with family and friends.
Property was easy to find, ample parking, nice grill and fire pit, nice front porch with a swing, bathrooms and bedrooms were nice, good Wi-Fi, kitchen was well equipped, and living room was well furnished. We had 9 adult guests.
The house was perfect. It had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and the kids loved the yard. The time with our children and grandchildren was very special. Many happy memories made in your home. Thank you
In addition to a clean, spacious living space with all the amenities of home, this property is located within minutes of all the activities in the Fayetteville. Convenience of proximity made our stay so much more enjoyable.
