Secluded Luxury Mountain Chalet near downtown Fayetteville

Luxury mountain chalet with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths on secluded 25 acre property close to downtown Fayetteville (1.5 miles) and New River Gorge Bridge and National Park (2 miles). The house was remodeled in early 2014 and was opened for vacation rentals beginning in May, 2014. The Sugar Creek Chalet is 1/4 mile from the Ramsey Mountain Lodge (VRBO 452740), both are owned by Bill and Sally Wells. We strive to deliver the highest quality vacation experience and encourage you to read our guest reviews. Amenities include hardwood and tile floors, granite countertops, newly remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, gas log fireplace, screened porch and large deck plus a sandstone fire ring with masonry sitting walls. The house is pet friendly and has a fenced in backyard. Sleeping accommodations include a first floor master bedroom with a queen size bed and master bath. A second full bath is also located on the first floor. Two bedrooms and a loft are found on the second floor. One bedroom has 3 single beds. The second bedroom has a full size bed and the loft has a full size futon. The basement features a bedroom with 4 bunk beds, a family room with a queen size convertible couch and a full bath. The family room includes a game table and foosball table. The Sugar Creek Chalet will sleep 10 to 15 people and large groups up to 28 people can be accommodated by renting both the Sugar Creek Chalet and the Ramsey Mountain Lodge (VRBO #452740)

Great stay. We had a large group and there were plenty of comfortable bed options as well as kitchen and livingroom space. Plenty of bathrooms as well.

We loved our stay. There were plenty of beds and plenty of bathrooms! The kitchen was furnished with everything a person would need to prepare meals. The location is peaceful and quiet. We'd surely stay again!

We had a great weekend/New Years at the Chalet. Quiet, secluded location that is only a short drive from town. Owner's were very friendly and happy to supply us with extra towels and a later departure.

We loved the house and the location. Area felt very private and safe. We enjoyed walking the property, playing in the yard and using the fire pit almost nightly. The house feels open and the kitchen is very well-stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay here again!

Team Bonding
We brought our high school girls basketball team to West Virginia to do some team bonding and whitewater rafting. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed, there was plenty of space, and it was in the perfect location. We can't wait to come back!

Great place!
We held a family reunion there (family from Washington State, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Ohio). The place was very clean; the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, newer appliances, etc; the decks were enjoyable and the kids and adults enjoyed playing in the yard. The owners were right next door and very friendly. It was a great location in the country (quiet) but very close to town and stores. We were super impressed with the cleanliness! Definitely recommend this place.

New Years in Fayetteville
We have family in Indiana and North Carolina, so the easiest place to meet for the holiday's is in the middle, Charleston, WV area. Our family celebrated Christmas and New Year in this home, great experience. Room for all to sleep, eat and celebrate. Cleanliness was exceptional along with all the needs of kitchen, towels and furniture. Highly recommend this location for a family of 14 to meet, plenty to do also in the area.

Great stay!
Our party of 10 (4 adults, 6 kids) had a great time at the chalet. Our kids especially loved the expansive front lawn for wiffle ball games and all of the nooks and crannies in the house for hide and seek. The location is very central to so many outdoor activities in the area. The chalet was well-stocked with bathroom necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc), laundry detergent, kitchen tools and utensils, and linens. The absolute only thing negative is the bedding for the adults (queen bed and full bed) weren't the most comfortable. Sizing up to a king and queen would make it perfect.

Absolutely beautiful home
This is a beautiful, welcoming home. Every possible amenities available. Well stock kitchen ( just bring your food). Great yard for outside fun. Close to the new River gorge, Summerville lake. Recommend Pies and pint's for a meal. Visit the Gaines estate on Wednesday night for karaoke. This has such an amazing history to it. This is owned by the same couple that own Sugar Creek Chalet. If I could I would give it a ten star review.
