We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. We love it. We recommend it to everyone. Today was the first time that check in was awful. The first time we tried checking in we were greated while carrying our bags into the lobby with come back in an hour we were full last night nothing's clean. She didn't even ask my name. I asked for a parking pass so we didn't have to walk back out when we did check in. She stated, you don't need one... Oh but we did when we were finally able to check in around 5pm. Not the usual customer service that we had grown to expect from here.

Only bummer was 4 oclock check in time. With 3 oclock basketball game, so many folks were checking in at 5.30. 2 lines 15 people deep. Room was beautiful, location great!!

I paid for a King bed and got a Queen. Also my card to get in the room quit working Ike night. Beautiful hotel and the staff was nice but frustrated they had to many guests and dropped us to a queen instead of King.

Very quaint and reasonably priced, much nicer environment than the big chain hotels! Staff friendly, and rooms extremely cozy and well decorated. Bathrooms impeccably clean, towels oversized and plush, and updated for a historic hotel. Will be staying here again when travelling to farmville. Its a hidden gem! **bonus** Several restaurants on site and more within a few blocks of the hotel!

Convenient location. Room was spacious and furniture was comfortable but overall establishment needs to tighten its performance. The lobby area could use freshening and color; not very attractive. Mop bucket for some reason stored in hallway by lobby where it must be walked by on the way to the rooms. Hardly any sundries for sale - very picked over and unable to buy even a bottle of water. Restaurant food was so-so. Room itself was fine but seemed like it had been designed without actual functionality in mind - mirror in bathroom is in front of a deep sink and too far away to use to put on makeup, no facial tissue, bedside tables are too far back to be easily reached from the bed (and are attached to the wall so can’t be moved), light bulbs in floor lamps by sofa are so dim they could be used as nightlights, shower is huge with ledge and soap at one end and shower head at the other so must walk a few steps out of the water (into the cold) each time soap or shampoo is needed.

The property itself was very lovely and the rooms were updated with a really cool decor. But please.. don’t stay on a Friday or Saturday if you want to sleep. There is a club right next door and our rooms was the closest. They didn’t warn us or give us ear plugs. I can usually sleep .. but that bass kept going until 1:30 AM. I couldn’t sleep. This is apparently an ongoing problem and unless they could guarantee a room on the other side of the building from The Press Club. I would not stay here again. I would have greatly appreciated a heads up or some compensation. They know this is an issue and haven’t been able to do much.
