"The place was really warm, bright, clean and fun. The hot tube was great, the back deck area / waters edge was easy to access without 500 steps, Kareoke machine was going the whole time. Kitchen was great, we cooked every meal for the 3 days. Gas pressure is a little low on the cooktop but it all worked just fine. The 2 story sun room is really nice to read in. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean. The tub/shower valve is a little counter intuitive but we figured it out. Having a Market basket 12 minutes down the road is great."

"The smoke detector was not in working order. Only part of it was on the wall with wires hanging out of it. The pool was closed for what reason I don't know. Disappointing as we were planning to swim while we were there. It was quite noisy there. You could hear people outside the room talking at all hours and clomping down the outside stairwell. It was quite warm in the room and if you tried to cool it down, the unit would blow directly on the bed causing a major draft on your body. There was no way to redirect the airflow. Also, our in room phone rang once around 3 in the morning. Just enough to wake us from a deep sleep. Hence it was not a good restful stay for us. "

"I like staying here. Yes, it's an older property and a bit worn. The price reflects that though. The other near by properties are much higher in price but it's hit and miss on cleanliness and quietness. But here at the Anchorage it's clean. It's quiet. The staff has always greeted me with a smile and are helpful. Whenever I have to come back here for meetings I will stay at the Rochester Anchorage."
