Fair Winds: Tropical Beach House, Stunning Ocean Views, Steps to the Beach!

Fair Winds is a true tropical beach house located on a hill with stunning turquoise ocean views, and a lush tropical garden! A quick 2 minute walk to our beach access with 1/2 mile of white sand, turquoise waters and a beautiful reef to snorkel and adventure on! The property is very private, with native Bahamian flowers, palms, and trees surrounding the grounds. The house is your home away from home with a beautiful kitchen, stocked with all the amenities a Chef will need! The Great Room is a focal point of the home, perfect for gatherings and enjoying the beautiful turquoise views. The Great Room, featuring built-in soft seating and a dining table for 8 guests, has stunning high ceilings and a wall of windows to look out over the ocean and palm trees! There are three bedrooms, 2 King bedrooms upstairs with 2 full baths, and the Garden Room located on the lower level has a Queen bed and a Twin bed with an on suite full bath. The wrap around deck provides a great place to enjoy the Bahamian breezes, tropical bird songs, and of course -THE VIEW! After a quick swim at the beach, enjoy the outdoor shower and snorkel gear rinse station. The outdoor barstools and rail provide the perfect spot for coffee or drinks while listening to the waves crash.

We are less than 10 minutes from the airport and within walking distance of a grocery and liquor store.

We can guide you to easy car and boat rentals or other island excursions to fall in love with Exuma!

Beautiful property
The house & grounds are beautiful & well kept. The size was perfect for our family of 5 to sit, sleep & spread out. Central location to drive around the Island. Beach was very close but waves were bigger here during our stay, but our teenagers did not mind. Owner is very easy to Communicate with.

Great experience overall at the beautifully decorated and cosy spacious house minutes away the bech
Fair Winds is a great house just few minutes away from the beach, thoughtfully decorated, very cosy but spacious at the same time, with plenty of space to host 5 of us, and would accommodate more people if some of them are couples. The house has everything provided to make you feel at home. Kristen, the owner, went well and beyond and was super accommodating and provided with a lot of tips and recommendations and was responding to all of our questions very promptly. Highly recommend this property!

Great Spot!
Everything was great. It was a short walk to the beach that was basically private as no one else was there. Ocean views and a great living/dining area with ocean views! Definitely recommend!

Lovely getaway
We spent a great month at Fair Winds. The house is attractive and very comfortable. We headed often to local beaches, did some bonefishing, found fun restaurants, and relaxed on the deck. The owners were very accommodating of our needs and local contact, Keno, helped with household requests and local recommendations. Love that hospitality!

A small piece of paradise!
The house was perfect, a little piece of paradise! We rented a boat one day and went on a half day excursion saw the pigs feed the iguanas! Hope to be back soon! Great Experience!! Highly recommend!!

Awesome property. Great view of the ocean. Walking distance to a beautiful little private beach. There is nothing about the property that we did not like. And the guitar is a bonus.

An amazing home away from home in paradise
Thank u so much Kristen for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had everything we needed and more. The house is even better than the pictures. The beach right by the house was so beautiful and we always had it to ourselves. Kristen was always available for any questions and every recommendation she gave us was top notch. We wanted a relaxing vacation to recharge and it was exactly that. I feel in love with Exuma and plan to return and hope to stay at Fair Winds again.

Great place for us to stay on Exuma! Kristen was an exemplary host - she went above and beyond to make sure that we had all that we needed (and more) for our stay. House was perfect for our family of six - exactly as advertised. We appreciated havng a well-stocked kitchen as eating out is pricey in Exuma and we made a lot of meals oursevles. Would highly recommend!

Heaven on Earth
This was our first time to the Bahamas and our group consisted of 4 cousins. The house was fabulous with a very private feel with beautiful landscaping & accents. The beach was about a 2 minute walk and we rarely encountered others. Everyone we met was super friendly & helpful. Kristen & Keno were both just a text away. Loved this location!

A perfect girls getaway vacation home
This loved home was perfect for our ladies vacation week. The house is exactly as pictured online. We walked to our nearby beach, which is like having a beach to yourself. The home is located near the airport, which was very convenient. The home had everything we needed during our stay. It is clean and very beach. The owner was so welcoming and gave us lots of information about restaurants, boat tours, etc. We had a great week in paradise and would stay at Fair Winds again!

This was an unexpected gem. The photos do not give justice to the views from this little house. The decor highlights and compliments the aqua blue oceans. Easy walk to a beach with few visitors and quick access to small stores and Georgetown.

Comfortable Oasis
This is a great rental. The house is very comfortable and easy. We were two adults and two teens. We all had our own space and could come together for meals and game time. The location is easy to the airport, and accessing all of the island. The view is very nice as is the outside space. We actually didn't visit the local beach as we did tours (Exuma Cays and also rented a boat from Minns), and went to Rolleville. We were super pleased with this home and recommend it to others.

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. Your beautiful home was the perfect place for our family of four. We did it all! Local beach, Hooper's Bay, Big D's, Cocoplum Beach, Chat and Chill, Exuma Water Sports Pig Tour, Blu Restaurant, Tropic of Cancer Beach, Jolly Hall Beach, and even star gazing from the home. Love the warmth and care and quality and style of this home with countless amenities. Wonderful house manager, too. Definitely recommend Exuma and your home. Forever cherish the memories.

Breezy and Beautiful View!
We loved Fair Winds! The house is beautifully decorated and appointed. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed many meals in the spacious dining area. Love the porch and the back garden. We were so comfortable, it was hard to leave! The beach is a short walk. The ocean was rather rough and wavy when we were there, but I enjoyed the surf. The star gazing at night was amazing! And we appreciated the small touches. Only issue was that the bar area wine chiller and ice machine were not working during our stay. Would be a good idea to add some ice trays to the freezer in case this happens again. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Amazing Getaway! - Private, yet close to it all.
This was perhaps one of the best locations I have had the pleasure of staying in. Fair Winds is "as advertised" Kristen leaves nothing to figure out. Details of the location and "things to do" are expertly detailed in her literature.. The location is close to everything, extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed during the COVID mandates and Kristen's advice about testing locations, Verifly and other nuances made our trip worry free. If you are looking for a great location, steps away from a pristine PRIVATE beach, this is the place! Minutes from GREAT FOOD at North 23 in the Grand Isle Resort, BIG D's and many others. We will surely be back, Kristen is a WONDERFUL HOST! Thank you Kristen for a wonderful stay

Best Host
Our time at Fait Winds was perfect, from the time we booked to the check out process Kristen was simply the best hosts we had with VRBO so far, she provided us a great pre-trip overview of what to expect and checked-in to ensure we had everything we needed. The house listing was spot on to what we found when arriving. Eat quick 3 min walk to the beach, which was like a private beach for us during the 10 day stay. The location was as stated and we found it to be a great spot to get around Great Exuma. Fair Winds is close to George Town and the northern part of Great Exuma with easy access to the grocery and restaurant. We took a couple of trips to the southern part which was a bit of a trek but usually not bad being able to enjoy the scenery on the way. The recommendations Kristen gave us were also perfect and as described. Overall we had a great time, this being our first to Great Exuma, and we will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Exceptional home, host and experience!
Fair Winds was even more beautiful in person. The home was spacious, comfortable, sun lit, well airconditioned and had ceiling fans and sliding doors. You could see and hear the ocean from the kitchen, dining room and deck! Kristen was so communicative before and during the stay. She provided me with great details of things to do and many recommendations for eating, boat and car rentals and excursions. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking and meal prep. Kristen even provided a service where I could order groceries before I arrived so that the fridge was stocked when we got there. That was amazing! The two upstairs bedrooms were large with queen beds. The three bathrooms all had showers. The downstairs bedroom had a queen bed and a twin bed/day bed too. This one was more private with a sliding door entrance and it's bathroom was the largest. So you could fit a couple and their kids down there easily. Internet was great too. Kristen had beach chairs to use (small ones with carry bags so they were easy to take on my day trips) and beach towels. The only thing we needed to bring was our snorkel gear but turns out we didn't really even need that because we did a day trip which provided the gear. You can walk to a beach with waves in just 2 minutes. And drive to calmer beaches in 5-10 minutes. I did the close beach each morning and night and then drove to all the other beaches mid day. Parking at all beaches is easy. I will be returning to Fair Winds ASAP! Wonderful Experience
