Red cottage located by a mill pond and lake outside Fårbo I SE05050

In a genuine mill environment from the 1800s you will find this nice red cottage. The house is located right next to the mill pond and close to a lake. The sea with the beautiful archipelago can be reached in 15 minutes.

On the entrance level of the house you will find a large cozy living room furnished with both a dining and sofa group, TV and a wood burning stove. Via the patio door you reach a covered terrace overlooking the pond and in an adjacent part you will find the shower. The kitchen is functional and practical, equipped with stove, fridge / freezer as well as dishwasher and microwave. In the hall you will find the toilet. The two bedrooms upstairs are furnished with comfortable 180 cm double beds and from one of them you can look out over the pond.

The surrounding area is scenic and rich in history and is close to the nature reserve Norra Göten with hiking trails. The lake Kvarngölen is next door, where you will find a rowing boat that is shared with SE05048 and SE05049. The old mill building has now been converted into a little power station and in a separate part you have access to both a sauna with relaxation area and a washing machine. These are also shared with SE05048 and SE05049.

Things to see and do in the local area
The idyllic coastal town of Figeholm, 16 km is well worth a visit. Oskarshamn town centre with shops and restaurants is a 15-minute drive away. The beautiful summer town of Västervik, which has been named Sweden's best summer city in 2020 and 2021, is only 48 km away. There are plenty of nice restaurants, shops and events in the summer. If you feel like a day trip in the archipelago, the ferry to Idö and Hasselö departs from the harbour. The holiday home is also within a reasonable distance (72 km) for day trips to Vimmerby with the theme park Astrid Lindgren's World and Vimmerby adventure park with high rope course. You can also take the opportunity to visit Småland's Kingdom of Crystal with its many art glass cabins and above all Kosta Glassworks with its shopping mall and famous design hotel.
