Take your time cruising the road at 45 miles per hour being sure to stop off at a few exits to take in the art and culture of the Appalachian and Smoky Mountains.

Enjoy local fare at the Lake View Restaurant and The Gap Deli in Fancy Gap, VA, or visit the local vineyards or Trio in Mount Airy, NC for a fine dining experience. If you travel to Hillsville, the Rio Grande, The Dutch Oven, and The Mason Jar are local favorites.

Perfect spot for a reunion with life-long friends
The property was clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to enjoy a quiet retreat. The neighborhood was quiet to allow mountain walks with beautiful views. Would love to return.

Anniversary trip
Couldn’t ask for a more amazing place. The virw is spectacular and worth the trip. Check with Mandy about the roads due to Hurricane Helene, but no problem there. Just couldn’t travel west on the Blue Ridge. Feel so bad for those affected by the storm. We do hope to return again.

My two sisters and I stayed for a long weekend and it was awesome! The views were breathtaking. Convenient to Mabry Mill, activities regarding Andy Griffith and his show, the Andy Griffith museum, and lunch at Barney's cafe (check out the map with push pins showing where visitors have been from). The house was awesome! The bed headboards were actually wooden doors. Enough space to be close and separate at the same time. The host and the owner were great. Very welcoming. Great place to get away!!!

Beautiful Tree House Cabin
We loved our stay in the cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and the view was amazing. We watched many deer every day and even saw two black bear over the deck one evening! The hummingbirds and local birds were abundant. The Reflections neighborhood is so beautiful and we went for quiet walks daily. The location is ideal. Near Mount Airy, NC. We also visited the Blue Ridge music heritage museum which was nearby and there was live music daily and wonderful hikes. Nearby Pilot mountain hike was also incredible. The cabin was the perfect location to do these tasks. As many other reviews point out the WIFI is almost non existent and it is even difficult to send and receive text Messages. You absolutely cannot work from this cabin. Not a deal breaker for us but something you need to consider. Bring paper books and DVDs. The cabin only has seating for 5 in the living room so we had to use one of the camp chairs that were in the closet to seat our 6th person but it was fine for us. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

The cabin is gorgeous and immaculately clean. There are five beds. Plenty of sleeping space but sadly every bed is incredibly uncomfortable. Two adults and two 7 year olds all experienced extreme difficulty sleeping with the beds. The cabin feels much larger than it looks. The common area, The bedrooms, and the bathrooms are all very spacious. We were not tripping over each other, even with luggage in the rooms. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible. My AT&T cell phone hotspot provided better Internet service than whatever is available in the cabin. We were on a vacation mid week so the adults were expected to check in for work and the poor Wi-Fi made that extremely difficult. We did not watch TV so I don’t know how the streaming or other Internet related things worked. The deck was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly clean however, there is a tree next to one of the benches that must’ve had a bees nest in it because there were tons of bees flying around, so we did not spend much time on the deck. Two kids + bee stings wouldn’t make for a good trip 😀 Other than the beds and the wifi, the place was amazing!

Great location & very clean
Location is close to Mt Airy and Pilot Mountain. Very clean property and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again on return trips. Did not receive information about how to check in from the property manager but I called and she was friendly and gave instructions.

Great Views and Clean Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The views were awesome and the cabin was very clean. The road to the cabin is all paved and so is the driveway, which is a real plus. The driveway is a bit steeper than it looks in the pictures, but definitely not a problem. The driveway is fine for two cars, but probably not more unless they were very small cars. The space is very nicely laid out and although small, it was quite comfortable for the three of us.

We had a great time! The whole process was so easy and we enjoyed every second. The view was gorgeous and the cabin immaculate. Only issue is the poor phone service, but it didn’t hinder us at all. Can’t wait to stay there again.

The View
Very clean and roomy. The host called and made sure we were prepared for check-in. The views are beautiful, we were able to see the Winston Salem skyline 40+miles away without binoculars. Great place to disconnect for a few days as we had little to no cell reception and could not get the house internet up. Very relaxing setting.

Should the view have to balance so many flaws?
The cabin was nice and the view excellent. What was missing was the information that both wifi and cellular connections are worse than spotty. We couldn't download books on our e-readers, or operate the TV- that includes network and streaming services - in spite of the dish on the side of the house. We couldn't use GPS. If we'd known this in advance, we could have planned for it. There were half a dozen items that needed small repairs. The stove was not clean. The usual notebook of instructions for guests was missing.

The cabin was perfect for all six adults. The view from sunrise to sunset was amazing. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The only problem we had was we could not get the TV to work. Tried to contact our host through email but never heard back from her. It ended up being nice to just be unplugged from the outside world. The phone service was very spotty. We could send and receive texts but could not call out or receive calls on our cell phones. We would definitely go back because overall it was a fantastic weekend.

Gorgeous mountain view
The cabin was so cozy, warm and clean. A day after we arrived the cabin, there was a snow storm and Mandy offered me to stay longer if we needed ( thanks Mandy!) but we safely left the cabin on time. I will definitely recommend the cabin to my friend to stay!
