"Liked this hotel very much. The room was lovely, well equipped, and very comfortable. And the view of the castle was pretty nice too. The only slight negative was that the cooked breakfast (waffles and Eggs Benedict) was all right but not wonderful, so not quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Everything else was terrific."

"Stayed here several time, good spot for everything we had planned. Staff were really friendly. Shower could be a bit more powerful. Been Easter we had a nice wee surprise of an egg in our cups. Lovely gesture "

"This is the perfect location! We were able to park our car (£20/night) and was in walking distance to most other places. It was across the street from various restaurants and close to The Vennel and one of the Edinburgh Sightseeing bus stops as well as one of the Lothian bus stops. Steps from Victoria Street and only a few more steps to the Royal Mile and Princes Street Gardens. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. We booked a balcony room with views of the castle and loved it! The breakfast was quite a spread and very tasty! Would definitely recommend. "

"The hotel was right downtown, but still quiet in our 4th floor room! So many places to eat nearby and the hotel breakfast was DELICIOUS! Out room had a shower and a tub, which felt amazing after walking all day. "
