Quaint weekend in the woods
The stay as a cabin in the woods was certainly authentic. It was a great place to stay and close enough to Asheville and the hikes we wanted to do. Everything was clearly laid out and it is just as described.

Weekend in the mountains
Exactly what we were looking for. Rustic, remote. A home base to explore the area from. Nice and clean. Well equipped. Could have used some food storage items. Plastic wrap, aluminum foil, plastic bags and the like. Otherwise we had all we needed.

Beautiful tranquil home
Beautiful home in a peaceful location. We stayed with our adult daughter and our two dogs. Friendly neighbor also. Everything we needed was provided. We bought firewood locally and enjoyed a gorgeous fire, and all the appliances were in spotless condition, the beds were comfy, and we had just a great Mothers Day weekend, hiking and also enjoyed the local town.

Beautiful Cabin and grounds
Beautiful cabin, loved the trail. The wrap around fenced in porch great for our babies (Casper and Ghost) to securely hang outside. Loved the fully stocked kitchen. Bathrooms were really nice and clean and had everything we needed. Nice getaways spot. Go shopping for food and water and the rest is there. Thank me later!!!

The Shaw clan stay in Fairview
We had a short visit, only two nights but it was a beautiful home with awesome woodwork throughout thd house. I own Shaw Tree and am a tree climber,so the house was perfect for us. The pictures on the site dont do it justice. We will be reserving the house again next year for a longer stay.

Just what we needed
This cabin was perfect for our quiet family getaway. The cabin was peaceful and private, yet close enough to"civilization" when we wanted to go out. I loved how pet friendly the cabin was. There was a cute little dog area under the stairs. The neighbors were also really friendly and gave us a quick tour of their home and cheese making area. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Mountain Get away
Glass Mountain Treehouse surpassed all of our expectations. My wife and I are mountain bikers and we planned this vacation to ride everyday and get married on Black Mountain. The location of the cabin is quiet and private. We started each day of our stay with coffee and a wood fire in the glorious fire place. The kitchen has everything you could want to prepare your own meals which we did. The gas grill cooks better than our does at home and everything just tasted better. “Must be the mountains” my wife said. The king bed in the upstairs bedroom was so comfortable and we own a Temperpedic at home. I was concerned about that since we’re both finicky sleepers. Sitting on a rocker on the front porch is such a wonderful place to start and end your day. So peaceful and reflective to listen to the wildlife. We loved the little touches to this place like all the ambient light fixtures. So much character and all the wood and log construction was amazing. We’ll be booking this again for our anniversary in years to come!

We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We chose this cool little cabin because it’s located right in between Chimney Rock and Black Mountain. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed being semi-secluded without having to drive forever for it. We really appreciated that gas for the grill was provided. Thank you!

Treehouse
It was my husband and I, our 2 children and 3 small dogs. It's a great location, in the middle of many different attractions. The property itself is beautiful. There are trails and creeks to explore. Honestly, we would of been happy never leaving the cabin. Our daughters loved it as it was basically a big, beautiful tree house! Very dog friendly! Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Stay
I loved the “Glass Mountain Treehouse!” It is unbelievably beautiful with logs/trees throughout, something I have not seen quite like it! It is very convenient to many things - Asheville, Lake Lure, BlueRidge Parkway, the Straightaway Café, the Biltmore, Black Mountain...I could go on forever. This is a great place to stay. It is not isolated, but you are up in the trees! It is stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen which is important to me! thanks Al & Kimberly!

Very nice, but not for multi family
The property advertised 7 people... so we arranged a stay with family from the north east... only one bedroom has a door, the other is the master in an open loft, so if anyone is sleeping on one of the futons in the living room below there is zero privacy. Also the drive to Asheville is indeed 16 miles, but with mountain roads this means 30-40 minutes to get there. The house is indeed very unique and the facilities were excellent... the real log fire is a plus and made the cold mountain experience a lot more fun. Overall a great stay with family if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

This cabin is just fabulous! The location is perfect - close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The design of the cabin is so cool - someone has some serious artistic ability. I would totally recommend this cabin and hope to return next year.

Property and house need some major TLC
Although the location was perfect for us we were disappointed in the home itself. Very dusty and full of cobwebs. Needs a good cleaning. We had to wash all the dishes before we could use them as there was brown icky stuff on them. Shelves holding dishes were dusty. No storage area for food so most unrefridgerated items were left on counter only to have ants invade by the morning. Linens need to be upgraded. Holes in sheets, stains on towels and the kitchen towels were disgusting. When we look for a home to get away the kitchen is where we want to see the most invested. Having enough decent cooking tools and ones that will not fall apart if you use them or are incredibly dirty are what we are wanting. Rocking chairs falling apart and unsafe to sit in. Around the house outside needs major maintenance. Had to listen to the generator of the neighbor all day so not very peaceful. I feel it could be a cute place but it needs work and not worth the money we paid to stay. Will definitely look for something different on our next mountain trip.
