Very cute and peaceful place. We had a family picnic, enjoyed watching wildlife (including dolphins) and did a little kayaking as well. We have family in the area and this was the perfect place to have a getaway and get together with loved ones. I would stay here again. Host was very communicative and helpful.
My husband and I, along with another couple stayed here for a weekend trip without kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and it’s amenities. Would be a great place to bring kids as well.
This lovely property perhaps isn’t described S fabulously as it should be. It’s AMAZING!!! We spent more time at “home,” than we did touring or anything else. It’s fabulous.
We all felt so relaxed, rested, rejuvenated and wonderful. We spent hours looking out on the bay. We kayaked, photographed eagles, dolphins, pelicans, herons, and seagulls. Wow!!! We can’t wait to return.
This place is amazing! Has a great lay out and beautiful views. The accommodations were above and beyond any VRBO I’ve stayed at. The whole family enjoyed it! Will be booking this place again for sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was charming. We could tell it was newly renovated. The breeze was constant and soothing. And even the bad weather was amazing view with such an unencumbered view.
Other than the weird floor buckling in the entry, the house was perfect in every way. Great accommodations, great location, and all the necessities required for a great stay. We even used the fire pit and made s’mores!
Beautiful home, amazing views, just as advertised and in the pictures. Great line of communication with the property owner. Perfect weekend getaway we will be back again.
Lovely location overlooking the bay. If you want to be outside of the busyness of the city but close enough to enjoy all Fairhope has to offer this is a great option. The home has some foundation/settling issues that need to be addressed but don't let this stop you from staying here. We had six adults in our party and had plenty of room.
The sunsets are amazing!
No boat dock/pier at time of our stay.
This was a great home for just sitting on the bay and relaxing. Our other reservation was canceled at the last minute and we were lucky to be able to book this house. There were a few minor cleaning issues, that I am sure the owners weren't even aware of. A drawer that stored a coffee bean grinder had ground coffee all over the bottom of the drawer, glasses that looked like they were put away dirty,
We enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable, kitchen was well stocked for those that cook. Owner is very quick to respond. Had 16 over for High school Bowling team dinner with S'mores afterwards. Just the right size! Wish our stay was longer. Beautiful sunset, enjoyed bird watching, dolphin gazing and enjoyed walks down Co. Rd. 1.
Good views of the bay from the second level deck. Could use a bit more seating but good, nonetheless. The house was quite spacious. We had the king bedroom and the mattress was shockingly comfortable. Plenty of bath towels; which were thick and very soft. Good communication; quite responsive. Would stay here again.
A little rustic for our taste. Bathrooms were updated and so was the kitchen. We used the grill and made several meals in the kitchen. The floor has several uneven spots. Some drapes or blinds might be nice for the owner to consider.
It served our purpose nicely, which was to unplug, enjoy the family and area.
Things I loved about this place:
-colorful walls and calming modern decor
-tons of natural light and great views of the water
-lots of coffee making options (kuerig, French press, 4 cup coffee pot)
-pretty much anything you need in the kitchen, including spices which is extremely rare and very much appreciated!!
-comfy master bed
-real, live, beautiful plants make this space very homey
-key code entry, so I don’t have to keep up with a key!
-The back porch is awesome for morning coffee! We spotted dolphins!
-The host left lights on because she knew we’d be coming in at night, and the house can be hard to find in the dark
-there were plenty of towels and toilet paper provided for our party of 4, for the weekend
Things I didn’t love:
-no window coverings in den, dining, kitchen area made me feel a little weird at night. This really was NOT terrible though.
-no covering on the window in the ACTUAL shower made me feel very exposed!
-warped floors: I was aware of this issue because I read the reviews, but I do feel like this should have been warned in the description of the property. The one dangerous spot that most of the reviews spoke about, was pretty bad, BUT has been covered with a rug so you don’t forget it’s there. We actually didn’t trip on it much, but it IS in a major walkway.
Overall, we enjoyed being in this Vrbo and honestly, I would rent it again if we’re in the area 😊
There is a serious issue with floor at the entrance. It is buckled so bad we tripped over it several times so had to sit boxes over the buckled areas to not fall.
Beautiful sunsets, but not enough chairs on the deck to sit out and enjoy. Nails sticking up on the deck, plus there is a small step down, not noticeable due to being painted the same color.
There was a washer/dryer, but impossible to open the wide barn door type closet doors enough to access them.
Kitchen was well equipped with all you need.
Plenty of towels, bathrooms and bedrooms were good.
This is a beautiful, quiet property that is right on the waterfront so sunsets are beautiful. The pelicans that sit on posts out in the water add to the charm of the house.
The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and there are plenty of towels and blankets. The beds are comfortable.
We would stay here again and recommend to friends.
Couldn’t keep my wife from fishing almost every day we were there. And the catfish didn’t disappoint.
We both needed this anniversary trip to relax from our busy schedules. Exactly what we needed.
My best friend and two daughters loved this property so much. It has great charm and is off the beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle. We even saw dolphin swimming in the bay. We will be back!
Wonderful mini vacation! My family truly enjoyed the area - the house was beautiful and clean and the owner was very friendly! It stormed while we were there so we didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks but loved having the option. Will definitely visit again!
