The restaurant at the end of the road was good as was the small bar and shop in the village. Jesi, Singhallia and the local caves at Genga all worth a visit. Very pretty hillside towns within a short distance from the Villa. A perfect place for a relaxing, tranquil holiday."

"What a lovely home, perfectly situated in a beautiful town in such an amazing region. A great base from which to explore Umbria. We stayed 5 nights but would loved to have stayed 2 weeks. Maybe next time! Thanks to our host Andrea for making us feel welcome and providing great tips. For the uninitiated in old towns, if you plan to drive, navigating narrow streets of Spello can be very stressful and finding this house was quite tricky (but well worth it). "Staying at Villa Contessa is staying in an alternate universe. The property itself is out of a fairytale. It's tremendous with apricot trees, a full fruit and vegetable garden, pigs, chickens... not to mention the sweetest "pets" Kia, the dog and Virus, the cat that roam the grounds.The pool is out of a movie. "I’m factoring in price, location, the house and the area for this review and I’ve considered heavily that this villa is very inexpensive compared to others. The views and property are amazing, I’ve stayed in $3000 a week villas that didn’t have as good of a view as here. The area is also amazing, all of the roads and towns surrounding the villa are great, no industrial parks, minimal billboards, lots of local businesses etc.. everything you’d expect from an Italian countryside.
