"Nice property on the East side of island which gives you a different perspective. Resorts location interesting but nice. Off of the only road on island cut into hill and overwater bungalows on the beach very nice. Staff absolutely wonderful and helpful. Very nice resort that is definitely worth the trip. "It was a truly wonderful experience – the beach is superb, rooms are comfortable, well airconditioned. Breakfast offers excellent coffee, local fruit, baguettes and cookies. Dinners are good, a restaurant on the sunset beach side is also 10-15 minute walk and a good local shop is within 2 minutes. Contact reception in advance to arrange a pick-up shuttle from the airport ferry dock. Renting bikes for a day from the reception to go round the island worked out well."

"The best hotel experience we have. The staffs provide excellent services, and the general manager welcome us in person when arrival. She also say goodbye to everyone when we leave on the port. Feel like home. We got special gift for anniversary and birthday as well. The bungalow we booked is lagoon view, big and in excellent condition with our own deck facing the ocean. This hotel is built on shallow beautiful green water; best for snorkeling and easy to see so many beautiful fish in the water just to my waist level. Will recommend this hotel for sure. "

"Our favourite place we stayed in French Polynesia. We spent 4 nights here out of our 3 week trip. We stayed at several homes & finished off with the Four Seasons, & if we had to pick only one place to stay, Orama lodge would be the place. The bungalow we stayed at was built by one of the owners, Alain who is a master carpenter, with the support of this beautiful wife Regina. It was built for their son with love & thoughtfulness, & we felt it as soon as we walked in. It has an amazingly comfortable 4 post bed, fully equipt kitchen, laundry, perfect bathroom, & an extra shower outside for when returning from the beach. And we needed anything, our hosts would provide with a sincere smile. Regina took us for a walk, telling us stories of the past, & pointing out the plants and trees that have been used by the locals for food and medicine. It was truly a special experience. They also arranged for us the most amazing tour that we've ever been on. Wow. We spent time sitting on their deck talking about life, our pasts, & our hopes for the future. They love hosting guests & sharing their experiences to help guests have the best experience possible. Regina made us delicious banana bread, & then sent us off with more fresh banana bread to our next stop. They welcomed us into their home with flower leis & sent us off with seashell leis, as is the custom here. They are beautiful humans, with a contagious love for life & laughter that filled our spirits. It truly felt like home. "
