"Our cottage was located about 30 minutes north of Bordeaux in a very quiet community. The owners lived right on the property and if we needed anything we’re just a knock on the door away. The unit itself reminded us of our lake cottage with cozy but somewhat outdated furniture. But that suited us just fine. Our main purpose was to have a home base to visit wine chateaus and it was perfect for that. "

"The property is exactly as described and shown in the photos. A modern well equipped kitchen is elevated with a Nespresso coffee machine. The monsoon showers are great and there are more entertainment systems than you could ever want, especially if you have a variety of ages in your party. Last and by no means least, who doesn’t want a heated private pool surrounded by gardens and cornfields? 5 minutes from the motorway and at most 10 from a great supermarket in Mirambeau, Maison Rossignol is well situated yet also “in the middle of nowhere”. Communication before and during the stay was great. There was a minor issue with the pool on arrival but it sorted out quickly and easily with no input required from us. Thanks for letting us stay."

"Very luxurious stay. Incredible room - beautiful finishings and a view overlooking the lovely courtyard. The setting is lovely with a vineyard on site with a terrace. The staff were really friendly. The restaurant in Bages was a 5 minute walk and was lovely also although unless you have a car (or arrange a taxi which can be quite expensive we foune) there are not so many options around other than that but the hotel itself is nice enough to want to stay! "

"This time the automatic check in was a massive mess. 1 it did not accept my credit card from the booking or the QR code to release the code to the safety gate to enter the hotel parking or my room. 2 it then charged me twice the deposit/incidental fee. That was corrected without me Asking by the personnel the next day so service once a human is involved is great and friendly. 3 I call the help desk and no-one responded during the nearly 40 minutes it took me trying different cards, the system Doing a full reboot, getting it somehow to work again and gaining access to my room. 4 in the end I got the code and access, the staff the next morning apologies profusely and said there must have been a mass outage as normally the help desk is very responsive. So one good experience before, one no so good this time. I’ll give it another go as the people there are very friendly and it’s a good value for money stay and breakfast."

"We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"We had a great time at Hotel de Margaux. We stayed in the Suite Vénitienne which is a large apartment in a little chateau close to the hotel with a view on a nice pool and a vineyard. The host was very nice. Too bad that their restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for dinner."
