The Farmhouse is a beautiful 300 year old building, set with rolling hills all around and only the sound of birdsong. What makes this property so unique is that it’s only a 25 min walk down a quiet farm lane, into the bustling Bastide town of Eymet.
The house has been tastefully and freshly decorated throughout. There are 5 double bedrooms (3x super king 180 cm x 200cm) 4 modern bathrooms. There’s dining for 10 in the house or 13 on the long terrace outside. The house sleeps 11 upstairs, there is a double sofa bed downstairs in the sitting room if needed.
Eymet is a fabulous little historical town. The beautiful square buzzes with great restaurants and bars to explore. There are great markets during the day, and food markets at night. Locally there is kayaking on the Dordogne River for various standards, horse riding stables, tennis courts close by and a useful bicycle hire shop. Ofcourse, last but not least, there are some incredible local vineyards to visit. Details of these activities will be in your welcome pack.
The house is a 6 min drive from Lauzun, another pretty Bastide town with its own night food market to enjoy and fabulous restaurants. The local area is spilling over with places to discover.
The Farmhouse is part of the small complex, Sainte - Marthe. The heated Romanesque pool is surrounded by a luscious garden wall. The pool is shared with the gite guests on the property. The house has a lovely private terrace at the back of the house over looking the huge valley. The terrace at the front is shared with other guests.
The house has a table tennis table, soft archery, garden badminton and a pétanque pitch. There is chess and other board games to enjoy.
There are grapes, figs, apples, walnuts and pomegranates growing in the garden. Please feel free to pick these for your breakfast.
