"The Red House is a delightful old, large three story town house in a more up-market part of Grantham, if there is such a thing. Large room with high ceilings and original features - not to everyone's taste but perfect for me. Very quiet and peaceful but easy walk to the town center. As a renovated old building the facilities are, naturally, not like a modern hotel. but everything worked fine and the host was charming. "Okay place to stay. No free parking to speak of, otherwise it's a short walk away. Room is a good size. Basic amenities inside, there is a dining room connected which seemed welcoming and pleasant although I did not use this. I would happily stay again when in Oakham."

"The night we endured was terrible, it smelt of faeces all night, loads of people coming in and out shouting, it sounded like someone tried getting in our door around midnight, the shower was contaminated, I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a case of legionella within the water, the bed was very uncomfortable and didn’t feel secure, the sink had no plug, and Unknown marks left on walls, 1/10 would not recommend "

"I had a bad expirience in Arman guest house. Room was with staned walls and carpet. Smelly matrass and pullows, dirthy shower curtains ans shower. I jad to buy a pullow and bedshits, i used my towel and clean the surfaces with wipes. I had to stay cut my stay to 4 nights insted of 5. Other guests were very rough and in the night they showted unapropriate words and nocked on my door. I told the owner but he refused toadress the issue. * you knaw jaw it is* - that ware his words. "Lovevly night away! Hosts made it so easy and hassle free. Room was very clean, had a peaceful nights sleep! Had dinner down the road in a pub called the wheatsheaf! Which was very nice! Rutland water is only a 15min drive! Thanks again to the host! "

"The rooms are on the small side and so are the bathrooms but the bed was very comfortable and had some nice touches. Tea and coffee and biscuits. The menu wasn’t great but what we had was quite good. "
