The other great features are the art room, utility room and masses of games and puzzles on offer. The grounds are beautiful, too, with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. On our first day we had a lovely walk from the top field to Lee Abbey and the bay, and it is a great base for local attractions such as Woody Bay...

"Communication and check in was easy and simple. We were provided with clear instructions on how to access the property and the amenities available in plenty of time. The property itself is large with plenty of room. It's quite eccentric and old but comfortable. Some areas were not as clean as we would have liked but it did not ruin the experience. The beds were not the most comfortable but we managed for a few nights. Location is stunning. Amazing walks and local pub. We also went house riding...

"Birthday celebrations for 3 busy families and 2 dogs Cottage perfect location for walks had to drive to the beaches though ! Unfortunately the Stags pub wasn't open for lunches during our stay Ping Pong table was a hit !"

"I absolutly love the lodges. This was our 2nd year of staying at the Mole. My daughter particularly loves the hot tub. There is plenty of space to walk our dog too and an enclosed area where she can go off lead. Although this year there were a few disappointments. We were not left a doggie goodie bag, even though we had paid for our dog to stay. There were no robes in our lodge which are particularly useful when getting out the hot tub, so we struggled with drying towels for showers and hot tub...

"Hotel was lovely, old in style by very grand. Lovely warm rooms, shower over bath but was excellent. Room had empty cupboard for a fridge but non provided. No plug sockets next to bed for phones. Spacious and free car park. Great location. Very grand high end dining room, excellent staff. Would highly recommend. "
