The house is quintessential pretty and quite unique originally built over 500 years ago, its steeped in history. Set in a tiered garden, with open views across the rolling fields, with fire pit, rustic seating and dining areas outside. The house is full of charm and original features, from the ancient heavy oak front door, massive granite inglenook fireplaces, stone spiral staircases and curved textured cob walls.
Set in the Teign Valley, this is an amazing spot for a number of outdoor activities. There are walks from the doorstep, bike trails, fishing, canoeing, rock climbing, horse riding and golf. Haldon Hill, 20 minutes away, is a great woodland park for off road cycling, and cycle and Segway hire is also available. There are many golf courses in the National Park, including the glorious Bovey Castle, Teign Valley and Stover. Horse riding on the moor can be easily arranged to suit all capabilities, this is fantastic area to ride in. Dartmoor is 95,400 hectares of open access land, great for climbing, letter boxing or just to stroll across the wonderful moorland to see the ponies. Dawlish Warren, a 25-minute drive, has sand dunes, swimming, moorings and the usual seaside treats, whilst Exmouth, 40 minutes away, has a long sandy beach with many amenities and is popular with kitesurfers and for rock pooling too. There are several National Trust properties within a short distance from Weeke Barton. Beach 9 miles. Shop 1.5 mile, pub within 1.5mile.
