"Overall had a wonderful stay. Only concerns were not enough parking and checking in was annoying. The front desk was trying to be nice, but he was giving me a hard time about my last name not being the same on Expedia as it was on my ID (due to marriage). Even though I can confirm all the information, I have the confirmation code, and the same credit card used. It’s just annoying when you say you will change that and they continue to give you a lecture. "

"Great location if you want to be right downtown at the centre of Portage & Main. Lots of good restaurant options a short walk away -- and Hy's Steakhouse next door, accessible without having to walk outside. Nice onsite bar with interesting cocktails. Front desk and valet staff exceptional."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Fairmont Gold. The breakfast was amazing and extra snacks at 5:00pm meant we didn't have to worry about going to eat so much. The highlight was definitely the food, view and staff. The hotel is also so close to many cool restaurants, spas and cocktail bars. Parking was a bit annoying sometimes, but the staff took care of our issue promotly. We will be returning. "
