Relax in peace along the Juniata River

Newly remodeled cabin on the Juniata River, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Enjoy the babbling river, fall asleep to the sound of crickets and wake up with the birds. Evenings are great for sitting around the fire and enjoying the dark sky with countless stars.
Fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just floating on tubes are some of the fun things to do while staying here. The best swimming spot on the river is also just steps away from your door.
The cabin has a kitchen with electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Dishes, utensils, pots and pans are provided. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The sofa in the living room opens up as a double bed also. Sheets and towels are provided.
The cabin has a separate building that houses a shower. An outhouse provides the toilet facilities.
Mini-split provides heat and air conditioning.

We had such an amazing time during our stay here. We brought our son, and 3 of his friends, to celebrate his 14th birthday. They had a blast fishing and swimming in the river. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We hope to visit again!

Get away

This cabin was perfect for our get away! The owners were so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. Being right on the river we were able to kayak and fish throughout our entire stay it was perfect!

Great Place to Relax

The Cabin is beautiful and very clean. Our stay was relaxing and it’s a great place to unwind as there is no TV or wifi service. We’ll definitely will be back.

Relaxing, Peaceful Get Away From It All !

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was just as wonderful as it was the year before. The cabin is exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. The views are amazing and so peaceful. The hosts Marilyn & Charlie are extremely nice, feels like you have known them forever.

Little slice of heaven.

Wonderful cabin, well equipped just a few yards from the river. Quiet, peaceful, we totally relaxed by the firepit and on the riverfront all weekend. Host and hostess were super nice, available but nonintrusive. Already planning our return visit!

Marilyn and Charlie were the most fantastic hosts anyone could wish for! Not only was the property in amazing condition, they pointed us towards some wonderful antique shops and hiking trails and always checked up on us when we ran into them.

Off the grid

We had such a nice getaway at the cabin. It was so peaceful and nice to truly be off the grid for awhile. Nice private road with the best hosts. The helped us with any needs and questions we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend!!

This place is peaceful, relaxing & beautiful, I loved all the barn decorations & wood work around the house! The Host is the best part, her concern & compassion about your stay makes you feel comfortable & at home. This home has everything you need, just bring yourself & happiness!

We loved our stay!

We had a beautiful stay at this lovely and clean little cabin on the Juniata River. The leaves were changing, so we had beautiful views and relaxing walks between cooking in the cute and well stocked kitchen, playing scrabble at the dining room table, and cozying up on the warm couch. Marilyn and Charlie were welcoming and helpful but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our get away. We may well be back :)

Perfect Get Away

The cabin was exactly as pictured if not better. Loved everything about it, perfect location, very clean, and peaceful it was exactly what we were looking for and more. Fishing, canoeing, nature walks, swimming, camp fire its got it all. The hosts are an awesome couple, very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely will and already have recommended it people we know.

Reconnecting

It was the perfect spot to reconnect with friends we hadn’t seen in years. We loved the river being just across the road the girls had a blast swimming and fishing. Absolutely beautiful!

Fantastic, peaceful, private and fun getaway!

The cabin was comfortable & very clean! We enjoyed the quiet peaceful surroundings! The river was beautiful & clear! We had a great time swimming, floating, kayaking and fishing. The hosts Marilyn & Charlie were super friendly and helpful!!! They brought us further up the river with the kayaks and we kayaked back to the cabin. Charlie and his son taught my son how to fish and helped him catch about a dozen fish! We enjoyed warming up around the camp fire and roasting marshmallows! This getaway was just what we needed, plus! The only con was that we didn't book a longer stay.

Super nice and relaxing!

We stayed at this place for 3 nights and it was awesome! The hosts Marilyn & Charlie are very nice and caring... they are the best! Our vacation was very relaxing and we enjoyed the quiet time with family sipping morning coffee in the balcony and doing barbecue by the firepit in the evening. Not having wifi or mobile internet was a blessing... our kids enjoyed board puzzles, reading books and watching birds after a very long time! The views are breathtaking and there are many fun activities nearby. The cabin is very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished with everything that guests may need. The outhouse and the outdoor shower room needed some getting used to for us city folks, but were comfortable and good. The hosts had kindly left water bottles for us in the refrigerator, since the well water from the kitchen faucet tastes weird. Overall, a 5-STAR experience for us and we would love to come back again for our next vacation - THANK YOU!

Juniata River Cabin Stay

We spent two nights here to celebrate my 12 year olds birthday. Having the river directly across the house is a plus and gave us all a beautiful and relaxing view. The renovated home is rustic, charming, and really cozy. The outdoor shower and toilet are clean, updated, and manageable for a short stay. The bathroom is up a rocky hillside, so not convenient for elderly or those needing wheelchair access. We had access to two kayaks and two canoes, which was perfect for a float/paddle down the river. Our hosts were the 5 star review of our stay. They were as equally, if not more perfect, than the accommodations. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will return!
