Situated in the picturesque heritage village of Evandale, Arendon Cottage is a charming 1-bedroom Georgian cottage. Recently renovated and returned to its original design. The cottage is fully self-contained, including full kitchen and laundry facilities.
Although Evandale is just a short 10-minute drive to Launceston and 5 minutes from the airport. You could be forgiven for thinking that you were a world away from the 'hustle and bustle' and have been transported back to a more relaxed time.
Many people stay with us for the convenience of being close to Launceston, the regional centre for Northern Tasmania.
Arendon cottage is within easy walking distance of Coffee shops, Bakery, Pubs and Village stores and galleries etc. The cottage is a wonderful base for launching trips to Launceston, Cataract George, the Tamar Valley, Deloraine, Mole Creek caves, Liffey Falls and the Central highland lakes and other tourist destinations. Relbia wine trail is ten minutes from the village and both sides of the Tamar river are half an hour away. If you visit us on a Sunday a short stroll to the end of the street you'll be delighted to find the Evandale Village Market. One of the best in the state.
In February the village comes alive with the National Pennyfarthing Championships and village fair. One of the region's major events. You can have a front-row seat and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and admire the period dress of the participants and visitors alike from the verandah of your very own heritage cottage.
