The Chuckanut Garden Oasis
Our Chuckanut home is a charming 1940s home with a large quiet and peaceful garden space. We furnish our home to create a vacation space for families and friends who are traveling through the Willamette Valley, visiting students at the University of Oregon and or having a reunion.
It is located off Crescent Avenue in North Eugene, in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood.
This is a 2 story house surrounded by outdoor garden areas on three sides.
Ground level:
The main entrance to the house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. The main door opens into a cozy front sitting room with a large comfortable couch, lounging chair, old piano and decorative fireplace.
The sitting room opens to the left into a dining room with a bar counter and china closet. There is a large table that comfortably seats 8 guests.
Next to dining area is the kitchen with an island electric cooktop. There is a cozy breakfast nook with cushioned seats. The stainless steel oven and dishwasher are newly purchased.
There is a second living space, next to kitchen, with a couch, decorative wood-burning fireplace and mounted TV. We do not provide firewood for the fireplace.
One of the 3 bedrooms is located on the first floor. It is furnished with a queen bed and office desk. There is a half bathroom located right outside this bedroom.
Finally, there is also a laundry room with washer and dryer and cleaning supplies on the ground floor.
Second level:
A flight of stairs leads to two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the second floor.
The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed, mounted TV, dressers and a sitting corner. There is an ensuite master bathroom with twin sinks and twin showers
The second bedroom has 2 queen size bed, a mounted TV and an ensuite full bathroom with shower and bathtub
There is central radiant heating, and window AC units during the summer months for each bedroom and the living room.
Outdoor Garden:
A framed walkway to the right of the front door leads through a front lawn with apple and pear trees that unfolds into a outdoor fire pit area.
A side entrance between the hedges to the left of the front door leads to a pebble covered space under a willow tree.
The backyard is fully fenced, pet friendly and has an outdoor sitting area for the whole group, an outdoor grill and dining area. There is a new hot tub. There is an adjacent garden sanctuary with grapevines and a old stone vase as a centerpiece.
