Our cottage is located in the middle of its 8600 m2 wooded park, and surrounded by the Haras d'Etreham.
6 minutes from Port en Bessin, you will find all the shops.
The very beautiful beach of Colleville sur Mer is 14 minutes away, and the historic center of Bayeux (cathedral, Tapestry) 10 minutes away,
You can also visit the many landing sites.

The cottage at Chat’l’heureux, renovated in an old stone longère from 1820, offers you comfort and relaxation for your family stay.

Fantastic property for families, great location.
We found ‘The Happy Cat’ to be the perfect location for our family (2 adults, 3 children ages 14,12,4) - we had just a couple of days to visit Normandy and it was the perfect base to explore all the D-Day beaches and memorials and to soak up the atmosphere and history in Bayeux, plus a gorgeous rural setting with a great outside space for the family to all enjoy in the evenings. Inside the property is excellently appointed, with lots of lovely extra touches from the owners that make you feel at home - our youngest particularly loved it there. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Heerlijke 4 dagen gehad. Ideaal dat er ook gedacht is aan pubers dmv dartbord, tafeltennistafel en wii. Alleen jammer dat de lengte van de bedden niet vermeld wordt. De bedden zijn maar 190 lang, wat voor nederlanders aan de korte kant is:-) Verder hebben we het er heerlijk gehad! mooie rustige omgeving.

Le gîte est très bien situé à proximité des lieux de visite et des plages. Le cadre est magnifique et très paisible. L'équipement est parfait pour un séjour avec enfants : des petits âges aux ados avec un extérieur très agréable. Un séjour très reposant.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine au Chat l'Heureux avec ma femme et mes deux enfants. Le gîte est parfaitement équipé pour les familles avec enfants : équipements bébé, grand jardin avec jeux, jeux de plages... Un gîte à retenir pour explorer cette partie de la Normandie.
